Brec Bassinger, who plays the title character in the upcoming series Stargirl, took to Instagram on Friday (April 26) to reveal exactly how her mask was made for her costume.

“What it takes to become a super hero…” she captioned the time-lapse video.
She continued, “Also I 100% had a freak out at the end, this was so claustrophobic but I got a dope mask from it so 🤷🏼♀️.”
“They left two tiny holes by my nose,” Brec added in a comment.

Stargirl, based on the character from DC Comics, focuses on teenager Courtney Whitmore as she joins the Justice Society of America. It’s set to premiere next year.

Over the weekend, the 19-year-old actress shared the first look at her superhero persona for DC Universe’s upcoming Stargirl series.
“Supersuuuuuit ⭐️ First look… so excited #DCUstargirl Xo,” Brec captioned the pic.
Stargirl will center on Courtney’s (Bassinger) high school experience, which is derailed when her mother marries and moves the household from Los Angeles to bucolic Blue Valley in distant Nebraska.
Struggling to adapt, Courtney discovers her stepfather has a secret past as a superhero sidekick. She also discovers an artifact of immense power, a long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, and Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.

Brec Bassinger is officially in training for her new superhero role!
The 19-year-old actress will play Courtney Whitmore, who is described as “intelligent, athletic and, above all, kind”, in DC’s upcoming Stargirl series.

Brec Bassinger just returned from what looked like the most amazing vacation ever!
Along with her boyfriend, Dylan Summerall, the two headed to Africa for a safari-filled adventure.
“At the airport heading to AFRICA! So flipping excited. SIMBA WE COMING FOR YA,” Brec first shared on Twitter just before the new year.
While in Africa, Brec and Dylan experienced an immersive safari throughout Tanzania and Zanzibar.
“During these past two weeks I have learned so much about not only the world, but myself,” she shared on Instagram as their trip was ending.
Brec added, “I’d also like to thank every single person I met in Africa. The kindness and joy that the Tanzanian people illuminate is like nothing I have ever seen. You all are so genuinely happy and appreciative; I hope I can take a little bit of that home with me.”

Brec Bassinger is filming a new in possibly the best location ever!
The 19-year-old actress has joined 47 Meters Down — Uncaged, according to Deadline.
The film will tell the story of four teens diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their adventure turns to horror when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves.
Brec will play the popular, self entitled leader of a group of mean girls.
Sistine Stallone, Corinne Foxx and Sophie Nelisse will also star.
