Brent Rivera Explains All the Reasons Growing Up Sucks (Video)

Brent Rivera is sharing his least favorite things about growing up!

The YouTuber just posted a new video explaining that becoming a teenager does have its perks, but it also has a lot of downsides.

In the hilarious clip, Brent plays three different characters – himself in present day at age 19, himself as a 7-year-old, and his mom.

“Being a teenager seems so cool,” young Brent says. “You get to go to sick parties, stay up late, hang out with friends whenever you want … you can come home whenever you want, go to bed whenever you want, drive wherever you want…”

Older Brent responds, “Your parents expect more things from you. You have more responsibilities. School gets more stressful. Try four hours of homework plus studying for four tests in one night.”

He also dishes on girl problems, curfew problems, and how parents sometimes treat you like an adult but sometimes like a child.

“Hey Mom, can you make that dentist appointment for me?” he says, to which his “mom” replies, “Honey, you are 18 years old. You need to be doing these things for yourself.”

Watch below, and be sure to stay tuned for the bloopers at the end!

Sabrina Carpenter, Jace Norman, & More Celebs Reveal Their Favorite Phone Apps (Exclusive)

Even famous people are obsessed with their phones.

We recently caught up with some of JJJ‘s favorite celebs and asked them about their most-used phone apps.

See what they had to say:

Sabrina Carpenter: “Oh, that’s hard! I don’t really play games or anything on my phone. I don’t have time! I’d say Instagram!”

Brent Rivera: “Oh, that’s a hard one. My favorite app I’d have to say is probably Instagram or something. I don’t want to be cliche. I don’t really know what app, I don’t really play any games except like this one game that’s a plane game and I have to land a plane. It’s so fun! It’s like the best thing ever, so maybe that’s my favorite app. It’s called X-Plane 10.”

Marcus Scrinber: “My favorite app, and I’m going to do a shameless plug, but my favorite app is YouTube! I love watching all the amazing videos that people like Brent put out and all those funny clips. YouTube is just probably one of my favorite apps, Instagram like Brent says, I love the iMessage app, it’s pretty cool too.”

Jace Norman: “Probably Snapchat. No, Instagram. Instagram, for sure.”

Peyton List: “Instagram is definitely the social that I check the most. I feel like I can get lost on the explore page and just looking up my friends’ photos. And once you start creeping, it’s hard to stop!”

Kendra-Leigh Timmins: “Definitely Instagram, because I think pictures are such a fun way to capture memories!”

Maia Mitchell & More Celebs Reveal The Last TV Shows They Binge-Watched (Exclusive)

Are you a big binger when it comes to television?

Sometimes we don’t have time to watch our favorite shows live, and other times we just love to kick back on the weekend and watch ten episodes of a show we’ve never seen before.

We recently caught up with some celebs and asked them which show they last binge-watched. Check it:

Maia Mitchell: “Season one of 24.”

Sabrina Carpenter: “13 Reasons Why! I was excited to see that show and once I started, I couldn’t stop!”

Marcus Scribner: “I feel like the last show that I binge watched was Grimm, and I just watched the entire five seasons which was really, really good. I enjoyed those. Watching The Walking Dead has been an amazing experience.”

Brent Rivera: “I binge watch Black-ish! And I also binge-watch YouTube videos honestly. You can keep on scrolling and just keep on pressing YouTube videos, one after another. You just can’t stop.”

Peyton List: “I binge watched Westworld. I think it’s so good and it’s such an interesting concept. Typically, I binge-watch four episodes, and then I don’t watch anything for a week because I’m shooting. But then I’ll go and binge-watch the rest.”

Kendra-Leigh Timmins: “The last show I binge-watched was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’d never seen it before and I LOVED it. I love special effects makeip and stunts so it was right up my alley, plus there’s nothing like watching a girl kick some serious vampire butt.”

TELL JJJ: What’s the last show you binge-watched?

'Alexander IRL' Stars Brent Rivera & Marcus Scribner Talk About Unplugging From Social Media

'Alexander IRL' Stars Brent Rivera & Marcus Scribner Talk About Unplugging From Social Media

Check out this brand new interview with Brent Rivera and Marcus Scribner!

The guys star in the new YouTube Red movie Alexander IRL, which is about two brothers who are left home alone and must come together to achieve their goals.

Alexander (Rivera) decides to throw a legendary house party to win friends and woo his crush, while his brother EJ (Nathan Kress) wants to use the party to impress his venture capitalist boss by building a mobile app to get kids unglued from their phones.

We caught up with Brent and Marcus to talk about the film and “unplugging” from social media every once in a while.

“Yes, I actually try and do that,” Brent told us. “I obviously have to, and want to, keep my followers involved in what I do in my life, but at the same time I do take breaks, I do have time for myself. I recently just went to San Francisco with six of my friends and we just kind of took three days and just did whatever in San Francisco which was pretty fun. So I definitely try and get away from my phone and live inside “in real life.” [Laughing] IRL baby! Wooo!

Marcus told JJJ, “Yeah taking time to unplug is super important and I think I make sure to do that every time I get home. I just take a few moments to chill or take a nap. Sleep is actually my hobby, it’s so fun to sleep. So I definitely take time to hang out with my dog, chill with my friends, talk to my family members sometimes [Laughing]. So yeah, taking time to unplug is something that’s important to me.”

Alexander IRL premieres on Wednesday, January 11 on YouTube Red!
