There is exactly ONE MONTH left until the debut of The Summer Set‘s new album, Everything’s Fine.
The new album — which JJJ previewed and LOVED — features 11 tracks that were recorded in Los Angeles with super-producer John Fields. Tune names include “About A Girl,” “Must Be The Music,” and “Mona Lisa,” along with single “Someone Like You” and “When We Were Young.”
Everything’s Fine, out July 19th, tells the story of about a band that started as teenagers but has since grown into adulthood – and faced some uncertainty along the way. It also distinctly sets the mood for what follows, a loosely-based diary of a relationship from beginning to end.
“The title is a bit sarcastic,” admits guitarist John Gomez. “Our first record was just one emotion. Everything’s Fine is yin and yang. We’ve had some ups and downs recently, some breakups, some general trials and tribulations. This is a record that says we’re young, but growing up and experiencing new things. So in a way, it’s optimistic, too.”
The Summer Set will be touring all throughout the summer in support of We The Kings — tour dates inside!
Everything’s Fine is available for pre-order NOW on thesummersetband.com in a variety of tiered bundles specially created by the band.

JJJ was lucky enough to hang with The Summer Set before their show in Detroit, Mich., on Tuesday night (November 3) and we found out that they love local bands and even more, country music.
Brian Dales, Stephen Gomez, John Gomez and Jess Bowen dished to us that The Format (a local Arizona band which has since broken up) and Jimmy Eat World are some of their favorite bands.
Brian even revealed that he’s a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. He shared, “He’s my favorite.”
The foursome also told us that they can’t get enough of country music. They shared, “Country music tells a story. They [the artists] actually say something. More songs need to be written like country songs are. That’s the point, if you’re going to write a song, say something.”
Stephen joked after, “Our whole next record should be written like a country album.”
