Bridgit Mendler is back with a totally new sound in her new song, “Atlantis”.
The 23-year-old singer opened up about the track with Pigeons and Planes, which debuted the song a day early.
“I was overwhelmed by emotional numbness, like a whole city overcome by waves, and dumped into the ocean,” Bridgit explains of the inspiration for the track.
She adds, “After being in love for so long, it was scary and confusing to deal with the loss of that feeling. This song was written at a moment when I was sorting through these emotions and expectantly looking towards the future.”

We’re still bummed out about Undateable being cancelled by NBC.
It was announced that the live comedy show, which featured live bands at the end of every ep, wouldn’t be returning for the fall on Friday.
Bridgit Mendler and her cast mates Brent Morin, Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, Bianca Kajlich and Rick Glassman all took to Twitter after the news.
“This show was one of those top of the list life moments,” Bridgit wrote on Twitter. She added on Instagram later, “So grateful for my time with these freaks. They’ve given me so many laughs and far too many poop jokes #undateableforlife.”

Cue the tissues! Undateable has been cancelled by NBC after three seasons.
The show, which went to a live format for the past season, starred Bridgit Mendler, Brent Morin, Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, Bianca Kajlich and Rick Glassman.
Undateable centered on pals Danny and his roommate, Justin. When he moves in, Danny ends up unintentionally adopting Justin’s ragtag group of awkward friends as well. Danny decides to put his skill to use and begins a mission to school them in the ways of romancing a date.

The former Suite Life on Deck actor is making sure that everyone hears how brilliant Bridgit Mendler‘s first album, Hello My Name Is…, was by lip syncing all of her songs on social media.
So far, Phill has covered “Hurricane”, “Ready or Not”, “All I See Is Gold”, “Blonde”, “Forgot to Laugh”, and “I’m Gonna Run To You” with the hashtag #MendlerMonday.
“My biggest honor is this weekly gift,” Bridgit wrote on Twitter about all the covers.
