We can’t contain our excitement for Auli’i Cravalho‘s big win at the 2017 Annie Awards in Los Angeles last night!
The Moana actress picked up the Voice Acting in an Animated Feature Production honor, which she tied with Zootopia‘s Jason Bateman. How cool is that?!
“AAAAAHHHHHH!!! I WON AN ANNIE AWARD!!! :) I’m absolutely blessed to have been honored with an award for Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated Feature Production,” Auli’i wrote on Instagram, showing off the award later on.
Moana also won for Animated Effects in an Animated Production.

The former Life, Unexpected actress met up with Asa Butterfield on the black carpet to premiere their new flick, which hits theaters on February 3rd.
“[Tulsa] humanizes him,” Asa told reporters on the set while filming the movie. “Through her, he learns to understand what it means to be human. There are emotions that he figures out that he’s never experienced before.”
Britt adds about their characters’ relationship: “They meet for the first time — he’s bizarre, and he’s weird, and he’s everything she’s looking for in a way, because it’s not everything she knows.”

The studio announced today that The Space Between Us will now premiere in February versus next month, in order to avoid being swallowed up by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The flick centers on Gardner Elliot (Butterfield), the first child to be born on Mars and who is eager to travel to Earth, after beginning an online friendship with a street smart girl in Colorado named Tulsa (Robertson).
When he finally gets to the blue planet, scientists discover that Gardner’s organs can’t withstand Earth’s atmosphere.
The Space Between Us will now hit theaters on February 3rd, 2017.

In the upcoming movie, a space shuttle embarks on the first mission to colonize Mars, only to discover after takeoff that one of the astronauts is pregnant. Shortly after landing, she dies from complications while giving birth to the first human born on the red planet – never revealing who the father is. Thus begins the extraordinary life of Gardner Elliot (Butterfield) – an inquisitive, highly intelligent boy who reaches the age of 16 having only met 14 people in his very unconventional upbringing.
While searching for clues about his father, and the home planet he’s never known, Gardner begins an online friendship with a street smart girl in Colorado named Tulsa (Britt Robertson). The Space Between Us hits theaters on December 16th.
