5 Seconds of Summer snap a pic backstage ahead of their performance at the Billboard Hollywood Party, part of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve celebration, that aired on Thursday night (December 31) in Los Angeles.
“I am so excited for 2016. I’m going to try and be happier with myself and never take anything that happens to me for granted. happy new year,” Michael wrote on Twitter as the band rang in the new year from Bali.
Luke added, “Thank you for an incredible 2015, I hope to see you all in 2016. No band recent band photos so here’s me and cal.”
The 5 Seconds of Summer guys opened up about their lives in their most candid interview ever, discussing their love lives, issues with depression, and much more. Check it out:
Ashton on the band not being a “boy band”: “Seventy-five percent of our lives is proving we’re a real band. We’re getting good at it now. We don’t want to just be, like, for girls. We want to be for everyone. That’s the great mission that we have. I’m already seeing a few male fans start to pop up, and that’s cool. If the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and all those guys can do it, we can do it, too.”
Luke on his girlfriendArzaylea: “It’s hard. One of the weird things is you want it to be a secret, but you don’t want it to be a secret.”
Calum on that Snapchat video: “It was kind of a blessing, in a way, because nothing that bad could actually happen to me again. If another photo of my d–k came out, it will just be, like, ‘Oh! It’s his d–k again.’”
“this small one. known this girl for 3 years now and I’ve got to see her grow up to be a magical woman. she looks like 15 years old in this picture. thanks for putting up with my shit @camila_cabello,” the 5 Seconds of Summer musician wrote on Instagram after the show.
5SOS’s Ashton teamed up with Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier, Goldfinger’s John Feldmann and All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth for a new cover of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”!
