Camila Mendes & Grayson Vaughan Split, Quietly Break Up a Month Ago

Camila Mendes and Grayson Vaughan have reportedly called it quits after a year of dating.

The couple quietly ended their relationship a month ago, E! News reports.

“There was no drama at all, and they are still friends. Their relationship just ran its course,” a source told the site.

Camila and Grayson were first seen together in February 2020 during Milan Fashion Week. They then were spotted out on multiple occasions throughout quarantine.

The Riverdale star made her first Instagram post about him and called him her love as she returned to Vancouver to get back to work on The CW series.

They were last seen together in early January over her holiday break from filming. Distance and her work schedule reportedly played a part in their breakup.

Camila has been shooting in Canada and travel has been banned, so the pandemic didn’t make it easy to see each other,” the source told E!

Camila has also removed her posts about him on her social media, and has stopped following him on Instagram.

Camila Mendes Opens Up About Having Panic Attacks At The Start of 'Riverdale' Season 5

Camila Mendes Opens Up About Having Panic Attacks At The Start of 'Riverdale' Season 5

Camila Mendes dons a purple dress on the cover of Health magazine’s April 2021 issue.

The 26-year-old Riverdale actress was photographed by Nino Muñoz for the cover shoot.

In the mag, Camila opens up about landing Riverdale right out of college, having panic attacks at the beginning of filming season five and more.

On taking care of her mental health: “When we first started shooting season 5, I started having panic attacks, which was strange for me. I think it was because I was in Vancouver and borders were closed—no one could visit us. You start to miss your home and your life, and you don’t have your friends or community with you. I want to say, I am so grateful to be working and would never want this to come off that I am not. Taking baths helped with the panic attacks. I also learned in those moments to put down my phone and take a break from technology and get in the tub with some music on and a book. I never did that before the pandemic, and now I love that I’ve learned to do that for myself.”

On landing Riverdale right out of college: “It’s a dream—I never expected as an actress studying theater at NYU that my first gig would be so transformative. Then, there’s the other side of it. When you have such a massive fan base, there are haters that come along with it. But that has actually been a good learning experience, too. It forces you to accept and get comfortable with the fact that not everyone is going to like you—and that’s OK. That’s a very valuable lesson to have learned early in my career.”

On working in Hollywood as a Latina woman: “When I started and was auditioning a lot, it felt like either there were roles for white girls or roles for Spanish-speaking Latina women. I am born and bred Latina. I grew up in the United States and am Brazilian. I speak Portuguese. In Hollywood, at the time, it didn’t feel like there were roles for people with backgrounds like mine. But now, I do think people are starting to understand that there are all different kinds of Latina women—and beyond that, all different types of people with different backgrounds and experiences. There isn’t just one American experience or one Latina experience.”

On slowing down due to quarantine: “In my day-to-day life, I’m a social butterfly. I love my friends and normally have to force myself to be alone. But in quarantine, I’ve learned how much I actually like spending time with myself. It’s been nice to realize that, and I think it’s something we all need sometimes. When this all started, I was in a place in my life that was go, go, go. I never imagined I’d have time to just sit and be by myself. It has really made me reevaluate priorities.”

Camila Mendes & Madelaine Petsch Take Their Dogs For a Walk In The Snow

Camila Mendes & Madelaine Petsch Take Their Dogs For a Walk In The Snow

Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch brave the snow storm while out for a walk on Saturday (February 13) in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Riverdale co-stars took their dogs, Truffle and Olive, respectively, out for a quick walk.

Camila and Madelaine both dressed in head to toe black and were sure to bundle up in puffy jackets.

The girls recently got a glow up on their show as it featured the much-talked about seven year time jump! Camila‘s Veronica is now married.

“When we were conceiving of what’s the most surprising place we can find her, we thought, what if she is following in her parents’ footsteps and has entered a marriage with a guy who has some similarities to her father, who is such an important figure in her life?” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told The Wrap.

He also dished about Madelaine‘s character Cheryl’s evolution into the future.

“When Riverdale first premiered, Cheryl was living in that mansion, her brother had just died, and we called her a teen gothic heroine,” he told EW. “And we feel like, in the time jump, living like Mrs. Winchester in the Winchester house feels like a really organic progression for Cheryl.”

Madelaine recently opened up about some advice she got from the late Luke Perry during the early days of Riverdale.

'Riverdale' Debuts New Cast Poster With New Series Regulars & First Photos Post Time Jump!

Riverdale just got a brand new poster!

We didn’t get much of new promotional material when season five started as the first few episodes were wrapping up the season four storyline.

Now, the new poster is out, and it features all of the stars – KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Vanessa Morgan, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott and Charles Melton – but it also features a couple of new series regulars, Drew Ray Tanner, who we of course have grown to love on the show as Fangs Fogarty, as well as Erinn Westbrook, who has joined the show as new character, Tabitha Tate.

In addition, now that the graduation episode has aired, we are getting our first look at the cast seven years into the future!

Here’s a synopsis of the first time jump episode: After spending seven years away from Riverdale, Archie returns to find the town is now under Hiram Lodge’s grip and on the verge of becoming a ghost town. When Toni catches him up on what’s been going on, Archie reaches out to the rest of the gang to return home.

Not Everyone Made It To Riverdale's Graduation Episode, Showrunner Reveals

Tonight’s the night – the Riverdale gang is graduating!

The all new episode is the final one before the series jumps forward seven years. This ep was originally meant to be the season six finale.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who wrote the episode, revealed that not all of the characters made to the episode.

“Today’s a big day in #Riverdale. As excited/nervous as I was for my own high school graduation waaaay too many years ago. Somehow, this one means more. Not all of our characters survived to make it to graduation. Not all of the actors we wanted to come back were able to for various reasons (including Covid). But so grateful to everyone in this picture. And to many more who aren’t in the picture, but we’ll be seeing soon. Next stop: Seven years in the future…🚀🎢📸👀💥☠️,” he shared on Instagram, where he’s been sharing tidbits.

“All the secrets will come out; all the tears will flow,” Roberto shared the day before.

“The gang finally graduates, tonight. 🎓 a very sentimental, emotional episode for everyone who has been on this Riverdale journey with us since day 1,” Lili Reinhart shared on her social media.

“Everything changes tonight. @thecwriverdale,” KJ Apa added.

If you missed the good news, it was just announced that Riverdale has already been picked up for another season, along with many other CW shows!
