The ladies of American Idol chat it up with Octavia Spencer and Ahna O’Reilly at City Year Los Angeles Spring Break: Destination Education event held at Sony Pictures Studios on Saturday night (April 20) in Los Angeles.
Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb and Candice Glover posed with members of the AmeriCorps at the event which helped raise $1.3 million to support the education of over 4,000 students who are at risk of dropping out.
“Absolutely LOVED meeting and talking to @octaviaspencer and Ahna O’Reilly from “The Help” tonight! Amazing ladies!!” Angietweeted.
She added later on, “…and I still can’t believe I met Liam Hemsworth tonight.”

After weeks of guys getting sent home and the save still in play, the top five girls were the only ones left in the competition. In the end, the judges did not decide to use the save and Janelle went home.

Candice received a standing ovation from three out of four judges (Mariah Carey claimed her dress was too tight to stand). “That was my favorite performance that you’ve ever done,” Nick Minaj told her.
Meanwhile, the judges weren’t thrilled with Janelle‘s song choice. But Mariah said, “I love the raw quality of your voice.”
