We totally get it, we do…we mean, Barry and Iris just got re-engaged in the last episode of The Flash…but waiting until season four for their wedding is so far away!
“I think the relationship aspect of West-Allen is going to be on the back burner towards the end of the season,” star Candice Pattonshared about the duo’s relationship and nuptials.
“Only because they have bigger issues to deal with and more important issues to deal with.”
She adds, “You know, they’re engaged, they’re happy, but any kind of wedding details might have to wait until Season 4. If Iris makes it to Season 4.”
Don’t tell us that!
Candice also dished about Barry’s romantic re-proposal that had just about everyone saying yes.
“It’s the proposal she dreamed of and knowing that it’s truly coming from a place of love and not a place of just trying to save her life, she’s thrilled. She’s over the moon…she loves Barry and this is what she wants. She just wanted to make sure Barry felt the same way and had the right intentions.”

Running Home To You – The Flash(Barry Allen) To Iris
We kind of have to argue with Candice Pattonhere, JJJ would so watch a show entirely about Iris West and Barry Allen’s domestic life.
Especially after she and Grant Gustin described their perfect days together and they were so incredibly cute!
“She would definitely get up, go to Jitters, go to work,” Candiceshared her vision. “Have a normal work day — maybe report on something very normal like the water in Central City. [Then] come home and make dinner for her and Barry, feed the turtle.”
Grant’s perfect day for WestAllen was almost the same: “If nothing went wrong, I think ideally Barry would like to sleep in a little bit, get up, have some coffee with Iris, go for a morning run because he gets some endorphins out of that and he does like running. And I think he likes doing some minor saves the day like armed robbery or stopping grant theft auto, stuff like that is fun for him, so I think a perfect day entails being The Flash.”
“Well, I mean they probably would Netflix and chill,” she added when asked about their nightly activities. “I mean, come on, they’re adults. Why not?”
“We’re in love,” Grant says. “Come on, we know what’s up with Barry and Iris.”
Iris West has been through a lot in the past season of The Flash.
She moved in with Barry Allen, almost died when Clive Yorkin touched her arm and almost disappeared into a pile of ash, she got engaged, broke it off, and then got re-engaged to Barry…see, a lot of stuff!
So, what’s really ahead for Iris, knowing that what Barry saw in the future of her dying, is coming?
“Her coming to terms with the fact that she may die. Very soon, she may reach the end of her life, and that is a terrifying concept to have to deal with,” Candice Patton reveals in a new interview. “You see her start to plan for that.”
“She will ask Barry to make sure he takes care of Wally, looks out for Joe, and keeps everyone intact. She‚Äôs actively thinking about the possibility that she could die…like anyone with a terminal illness, you go through all of the emotions.”
Candice adds, “If you only have so much time to live, you want to live it to the fullest, and try to be there for your family. She has to come to terms with the fact that she may die.”
If you missed last night’s episode of The Flash, we suggest you go back and watch it right now!
Turning both The Flash and Supergirl into musical episodes was brilliant and we hope it happens again somewhere down the line — but first, let’s talk about how Iris and Barry are engaged again!
Towards the end of the episode, the couple worked out their problems and ended up with Barry singing his proposal to “Runnin’ Home To You”.
‚ÄúThat song is beautifully written,‚ÄĚ Candice Pattonshared. ‚ÄúWhen we got to rehearsal for the first time, I was just already in tears. I was like, ‚ÄėDang it, I should have saved it for when we were rolling!‚Äô But the great thing about that song is that every time you hear the lyrics, you get emotional.”
Grant Gustin added, “I think music in storytelling really elevates the story, when it‚Äôs done successfully and correctly. I think this is a near perfect song. I was privileged to sing it.‚ÄĚ

“Last night my hotel shower turned on by its self… The sound of water woke me. I got up, turned it off. It turned on again!” Candicetweeted. “I was so tired though. I was like look- if these old ass Hollywood ghosts need to refresh. Go ahead. So I just closed the door, went to bed.”
She added, “So if zombie apocalypse happens and I’m too sleepy to run for my life – just know I died doing what I love.”

At the event, it was revealed that there will be a surprise crossover in the second-to-last episode of Legends’ fifth season!
‚ÄúI will call it a surprise crossover,” EP Marc Guggenheim told Deadline. “No one knows this because we‚Äôve kept it under wraps, but there‚Äôs a surprise cameo, surprise crossover moment in the penultimate episode of Legends.”
“Very soon, the author of the greatest, I guess you could call it ‚Äėfantasy novel series‚Äô of all time will appear,” EP Phil Klemmer also hinted. “You can figure out who that is.”
