It’s official – The Flash is coming to an end.

It was just revealed that the CW show’s upcoming ninth season will, in fact, be it’s last one, THR reports.

With the new season, it will be the longest-running DC series on the network, and it will be ending with a shorter season.

Candice Patton is really opening up about what it’s been like working on The Flash for the past eight years.

The 34-year-old actress got candid with Elliot Knight on the first episode of his new podcast The Open Up Podcast.

On the show, Candice shared about her experience being cast in The Flash, working on the show, almost quitting early on, and she also confirmed she will be back for season eight, but it will likely be her last. (Note: This podcast episode was recorded in between seasons seven and eight. Candice has been confirmed to also be returning for season nine of The Flash.)

Halle Bailey steps out to help honor women at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment Gala held at Fairmont Century Plaza on Wednesday (December 8) in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old singer and actress was among many guests at the annual(ish) event, along with Vanessa and Laura Marano, Kelsea Ballerini, Emeraude Toubia, Ariana DeBose and Candice Patton.

Candice Patton Represents 'The Flash' at People's Choice Awards 2021

Candice Patton is the lady in red while attending the 2021 People’s Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar on Tuesday (December 7) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 33-year-old actress stepped out on the red carpet as her show The Flash is about to air a new episode.

On tonight’s fourth ep of the five-part “Armageddon” special, Barry (Grant Gustin) is shocked when Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) returns in the most unexpected way, and with a tie to a loved one. Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) offers advice to Barry but there is a catch. An epic battle begins with Reverse Flash pitted against The Flash, Team Flash, Batwoman (Javicia Leslie), Sentinel (Chyler Leigh) and Ryan Choi (Osric Chau).

Speaking of, The Flash is nominated for The Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show of 2021 at the PCAs!
