The 13-year-old former X Factor finalist dedicated the cover to her cousins, who recently lost their father.
In a recent interview with USA Today, Carly Rose about prepping for her debut album.
“I’m writing all the time, just by myself,” she shared. “It doesn’t necessarily have to be me with somebody else in the room. I have a piano in my house. I can always go down to the piano and play, and write by myself. So when I do have a session set up with somebody, I can come in with stuff.”

The 13-year-old singer joined others for Jerry Seinfeld‘s show to benefit research into juvenile diabetes. In partnership with The American Diabetes Asociation, the concert also featured a VIP pre-party hosted by former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza.

On what she’s been doing since the show: “I’ve been in the studio! And I’ll be doing concerts soon, which I’m really excited about. I’m in pre-production of my album, so right now I’m writing in-between putting my show together. I’m also doing some covers which are going on YouTube. So, yes—very busy!”
On the sound of her upcoming album: “Well, it’s in the early, early, early stages so I’m not 100% sure what my sound will be exactly. But my five inspirations are Bruno Mars, Adele, Ellie Goulding, Maroon 5, and Ed Sheeran. So, if you put them all together that will give you a hint.”
On giving advice to other contestants: “Doing anything you possibly can to differentiate yourself is going to be really helpful. When I auditioned, I think people were expecting me to do a Top 40 song, but instead I did “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone, which was very unexpected. It really helped them remember me, and kept me from being put in a category that I didn’t want to be in.”

The 13-year-old former X Factor USA singer ran into some trouble on her way to the event.
“On my way to @LittleMixOffic and @J14magazine #LittleMixMeNewYork event! The car broke down on the way.but we are determined to get there!” Carly Rosetweeted.
Joey was also excited for the concert. She wrote, “So excited to C @LittleMixOffic tonight @HardRockCafeNYC. They r going to bring it!!!”
