The 24-year-old singer spilled about the heartbreak of leaving Cheryl Cole and their six-month-old son Bear at home while attending a Z100 event on Tuesday (October 10) in New York City.
“He’s going to stay with his mom until we really figure out what we’re doing,” Liam told Us Weekly of the family’s plans once he’s on tour.
He added, “It’s going to be difficult. It’s hard being away, but time differences with babies and stuff – it’s really hard on them. I don’t want to drag him around the world for, you know, just for my sanity. We’ll do it when the time’s right.”

The 24-year-old “Get Low” pop sensation confirmed the super exciting news on Twitter on Saturday (September 23) that his new track will arrive on October 20. (As some One Direction fans already pointed out, yes – it’s the same day as Niall Horan‘s Flicker album release! The 1D stars have aligned…)
Liam previously dished about the song during a BBC Radio 1 interview – and revealed that it’s girlfriend Cheryl Cole‘s favorite!
“We both like that song. That’s her favorite. That’s been her favorite since the start, so if it turns out to be the best one, she’s gonna say ha-HA!” he explained.
Liam and Cheryl welcomed their baby boy Bear earlier this year.
Liam was discussing his love for In-N-Out, a popular burger chain in California. When asked if he moved to Los Angeles just for the burger, he replied, “Yeah, exactly! I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out burger. I’m just kidding.”
In a new interview with People, Liam set the record straight, explaining, “In the U.K., you say ‘the Mrs.’” Regarding the possibility of marriage, Liam left it at, “Maybe one day.”
The “Strip It Down” singer showed off his fresh cut on Instagram to fans, who either love it, or have really sarcastic remarks about it.
“Sure beats when u shaved ur head” and “Congratulations. You officially look like a dad. All you need now is minivan,” are two of the sassiest we’ve seen so far.
But that all doesn’t matter one bit, because Liam‘s partner, and mother of his son, Cheryl, absolutely loves the new cut.
