Chris joined the cast of Melissa‘s show Supergirl when it moved to The CW for the second season. Production also moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver with the switch. He previously starred on the network’s sci-fi drama series Containment.
In a fun surprise, it’s been confirmed through newlu-released stills that Kai (Chris Wood) is returning to The Vampire Diaries for one of the last episodes.
In the episode titled “The Lies Are Going to Catch Up With You,” airing on February 17, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) come face to face with an old enemy after they obtain a weapon that may be able to destroy Cade (Wolé Parks).
That old enemy is obviously Kai, who killed his own twin sister Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) on her wedding day to Alaric.
If you remember, Kai is also the one who put the sleeping spell on Elena (Nina Dobrev) where she can only wake up after Bonnie (Kat Graham) dies.
Not to mention, Damon killed Kai, so we can imagine they have a lot to talk about too.
However, some fans are starting to wonder big time about his actually identity and have a big suspicion that HE’s the Prince of Daxam instead of a guard like he said he was.
“No comment,” EP Andrew Kreisberg said when asked about it, but he did open up about Mon-El revealing his secrets to Kara.
“Secrets are never healthy in a relationship and obviously Mon-El is holding onto something,” he said. “We got a little taste that his life on Daxam might not be as over as we think from the glimpse of the space farers, who are on the hunt for him. So it will definitely play a big part in their relationship moving forward.”
Supergirl returns Monday, January 23rd @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
