During her appearance, Melissa opened up about learning how to play Supergirl, dancing and acting since she was a kid, performing a Stephen Sondheim medley at Disneyland and playing one of David Koresh’s wives in the new mini-series, Waco.

Supergirl star Chris Wood shows off his armor in this first look pic, ahead of the mid-season return of the CW series.
On the show, Mon-El was forced to leave Earth after the release of the lead dispersal device, where he accidentally went through a wormhole that landed him in the 30th Century.
Supergirl broke our hearts when we all found out that he’s now married to Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson).
In the mid-season premiere next week, Supergirl is struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign and remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached.
But, Mon-El has an idea and recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5, to try to bring her back.
Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her.
Supergirl premieres on Monday, January 15th @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
The two Supergirl stars and real life couple are getting behind a new initiative with IDONTMIND, a mental health awareness program whose aim is to break down the barrier of stigma and to bring help to those that need it.
After Melissa posted about the new sweatshirt that the program is selling to raise monies for the organization, Chris also supported it on his own Instagram account.
“This brilliant woman is a light,” he wrote of Melissa. “Her heart has remained open and full despite the many difficulties she has faced, and her generous spirit fills the world with more love. I continue to be in awe of her.”
So sweet!

Kara and Mon-El have been apart longer than we would like on Supergirl, however, our reunion is coming soon.
In a recent interview with Den of Geek, Melissa Benoist revealed that episode 7 is when it’s all going down — but there is a catch.
“It won’t be the reunion you expect. It’s pretty mysterious,” Melissa shared.
Chris Wood, who plays Mon-El, adds that the Mon-El we know is not the Mon-El we’ll see when he returns.
“He’s going to be a very different Mon-El than what we saw last year, largely due to the whole mystery surrounding where he went and what he’s been doing,” Chris told TV Insider last month. “It definitely affects him. He’s been somewhere, doing something.”
“They’ve sworn me to secrecy on specifics,” he adds. “But there’s going to be a big change in him when he comes back [and] that worries the team.”
Who else out there is shipping Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood as a couple? Well, we have a treat for you!
The Supergirl co-stars and real-life couple were seen walking their dogs over the weekend in Vancouver, Canada and we have the photos here.
Melissa and Chris kept a low profile under their hats and shades. They were seen sipping coffee while spending time with their pet pooches on National Dog Day.
Supergirl is currently in the middle of production for season three, which is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 9 on The CW. We can’t wait to find out what happens next on the show!
The next day, Melissa shared a photo of her in full costume on the set of Supergirl. She fanned out her cape so you could see just how big it actually is. Check it out below!
Earlier in the week, Melissa joined Yael Grobglas on set as the two filmed scenes together. Yael plays Psi, a psychic villain who uses people’s own minds against them.
It was announced that same day that four new characters will be joining the upcoming season of Supergirl.
Adrian Pasdar and Yael Grobglas have both been cast as villains while Carl Lumbly will be playing J’onn J’onnz’s father from Mars. Also joining the show is Emma Tremblay who will be playing a teen fascinated by Supergirl.
Supergirl returns for season 3 on Monday, October 9 on The CW.
