In tonight’s episode “Catch Her In The Lie,” the Flipside Formal offers Emma (Chando) the chance to try and trap Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) and Sutton (also Chando) in a lie, but she needs Ethan’s (Redford) help to pull it off. Laurel (Allie Gonino) struggles with where her loyalties lie, while Kristin (Helen Slater) makes a troubling discovery that has more significance than she realizes.
Jordan (Ryan Rottman) continues to waffle between Laurel and Mads (Alice Greczyn), and Theresa’s defense of Alec (Adrian Pasdar) threatens to drive a wedge between her and Dan. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Ted (Andy Buckley), and Alec and Kristin, each reminisce about old times.

Alice, who stars as Mads, sounded off on twitter about the relationship between Mads and Jordan, played by Ryan.
“Personally, I don’t think Mads n Jordan have anything to be ashamed of. They’re not blood–not even step-sibs, given Rebecca left his dad,” she wrote. “However… The important thing is what you guys think. Would YOU do your (sort of)step-brother?”
In tomorrow night’s episode, “Much Ado About Everything,” Emma (Chando) and Thayer (Alexander) further their investigation into the twins’ birth mother and what Sutton (also Chando) may know about her.
Laurel (Allie Gonino) begins to suspect that something is not right with her sister and makes everyone nervous when she starts asking questions. Using ammunition provided by Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter), Sutton lashes out at Kristin (Helen Slater) during what is supposed to be a peaceful Mercer family dinner.

In tomorrow’s episode, “Advantage Sutton,” Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) advises Sutton (Chando) to reclaim her life, leading Sutton to challenge Emma (also Chando) to a tennis match � winner gets to live as Sutton Mercer. Ethan (Redford) is in danger of failing out of school, so Emma offers to tutor him, breaking plans with Thayer (Christian Alexander) in the process.
Meanwhile, Laurel (Allie Gonino) decides to ask out Jordan (Ryan Rottman), but ends up bringing Mads along on their date. And new evidence comes to light that may exonerate Alec (Adrian Pasdar), or may further prove his guilt.

In the upcoming episode “Cheat, Play, Love,” Sutton (Chando) steps up her plans to win back Ethan (Blair Redford), and makes a point to let Emma (also Chando) know her intentions. Feeling left out of Emma and Thayer’s (Alexander) growing closeness, Mads (Alice Greczyn) visits her father in prison and shocks Emma with a family revelation.
Dan continues his investigation into Derek’s murder, regardless of Alec’s arrest, and Jordan starts at his new school and tries to get close to Laurel (Allie Gonino).

“When the show returns, they’re still separated,” Allie Gonino told Alloy about her on-screen parent’s relationship.
She added, “Things are very tense around their relationship. Laurel does try to get them back together. In the first episode, she writes a song to play at Fairway, that’s a big party at the golf course. She writes a song to try to reignite that spark between them.”
