Christina Grimmie‘s family is speaking out on the one-year anniversary of her shocking death.
They thanked fans for their continued love and support in a message posted to the former singer and The Voice contestant’s Facebook on Sunday (June 11).

“We want to take this moment to say thank you to Christina‘s legion of fans worldwide and all the partners who contributed and are still contributing to her legacy,” they wrote. “Your prayers, love, encouragement and support have been felt by us as a family and we are humbled and deeply appreciative.”
“We too, are still healing, but know that we love each and every one of you,” the statement continues. “Thank you for your support! #TeamGrimmie #CGforever.”
Christina was just 22 years old when she was tragically shot and killed after her concert in June 2016 in Orlando, Fla.
It’s been one full year since Christina Grimmie was taken from us in a tragic shooting in Orlando, Florida.
Fans have returned to the scene for memorials all weekend, and her family released not only her new album, but a lyric video for “Sublime” as well to honor her.
While JJJ was looking around for Christina tidbits that would make us smile instead of cry, we ran into a gem of an article from our friends at Pulse Spikes.
In the article, Christina gifted us with five little, but still big, life lessons that we all should carry with us.
Lesson #1: Face Your Fears and Be Brave.
“One of my favorite quotes in the world is actually one from a popular anime: ‘All the disadvantages in this world are due to the insecurities of the person himself’s ability,’” she shared when asked about just how young girls can overcome their struggles and be themselves.
Christina added, “Which basically is a fancy way of saying, you won’t achieve great things, things that you strive for, if you are constantly held back by things that scare you. If you take action on your goals, you will achieve them.”

Christina Grimmie‘s posthumous album, All Is Vanity, is definitely one of JJJ‘s favorite albums, and we know it’s fans’ too.
The album — which features a handful of brand new tracks — it out today and if you haven’t picked it up already, you should — because a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Christina Grimmie Foundation, whose efforts are to help families through the trauma of gun violence or the tragic diagnosis of breast cancer.
“We are truly blessed to have been surrounded by so many people who want to continue to honor Christina‘s legacy and help us release her music,” her mom, Tina, shared in a release. “It is her best work ever.”
Fans everywhere are loving all the new music, with “Everyone Lies” being a big stand out of the record.

If you’re like us, you can’t stop listening to Christina Grimmie‘s posthumous album, All Is Vanity, and “Sublime” is easily one of our favorite songs on the LP.
According to producer Stephen Rezza, “Sublime” was actually one of Christina‘s favorites.
“Another one I had the pleasure of writing with Christina & the gang,” he wrote on Instagram when the teaser came out.
Stephen adds, “For obvious reasons, the next couple weeks are going to be extraordinarily difficult, but it makes me happy that the world gets to hear this. This was her favorite song out of all of the new ones coming out.”

The late singer’s family just released the brand new LP, almost a year after her untimely passing.

The LP, titled All is Vanity, includes her single “Invisible,” “Sublime”, and a re-produced version of Jason Mraz‘s “I Won’t Give Up.”
The album was supposed to be out last week for National Gun Violence Awareness Day, however the date was moved.

Later tonight, Christina‘s debut LP, titled All is Vanity, will be released and JJJ is really looking forward to listening to it.
However, you may be wondering about the meaning behind her album title — it’s actually a testament to her faith.
“All Is Vanity” is a bible verse, from Ecclesiastes 12:8, which reads: “Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.”
Before her untimely passing, Christina would say that this verse was there to remind her that her success and fame where nothing without Christ, and only in Him does life have meaning.
