Christina Grimmie was honored last week during 2016 VidCon after she was tragically shot to death three weeks ago.
Co-founders of the event John and Hank Green spoke before presenting the video.
“Christina Grimmie, a passionate and dedicated, innovated and talented YouTube creator, was killed after her concert, and then the next day 49 people were murdered at a gay club in Orlando,” John said to the audience.
“Her innovation and her generosity will affect this industry and this community forever and I’m proud of that. Her memory will always be with us. A bunch of her friends reached out to us because they wanted to share a tribute that they were putting together in her memory. So please join us in listening to and watching dozens of YouTubers and her friends who worked with her performing one of her songs ['With Love'],” Hank added.
