“The loss is horrendous … until three days ago I couldn’t look at a picture of Cory,” Ann, 63, said. “So there’s been progress.”
Ann also said she is in touch with Lea Michele via text and email. “She’s hurting too … you see the sadness,” Ann said. “I know her pain.”
“[When] Cory was 15, he did a code blue,” Ann said explaining his first overdose, “and I think that was the turning point. He had a lot of emotional things he was trying to figure out — lot of it was he really wanted a relationship with his father. I think when a child gets invalidated they keep reaching even harder. They want to find out why.”
Cory‘s mom also explained that he was getting ready to sign a lease in Vancouver before he died and he may have been thinking about leaving Hollywood. “I think he was easing himself out of it.”

It’s been a few months since Glee paid tribute to fallen co-star Cory Monteith on the Fox show.
Director Paris Barclay chatted with US Weekly about bringing his passing back up during the 100th episode.
“I don’t think it could go much farther without continuing to talk about how that hurts,” Mr. Barclay shared.
He added, “There is so much feeling there and it affected the Glee family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode. It definitely comes back and is dealt with in a significant way.”
Glee‘s 100th episode will be a two-parter airing in March.
