The 17-year-old singer and actress hit the red carpet alongside her fellow co-stars at the premiere of her new show Rise at Landmark Theatre on Wednesday night (March 7) in New York City.
“The @NBCRise cast is GLORIOUS!” Auli’i wrote on social media, referencing the title of the song “Glorious.”
Rise is about an earnest high-school drama coach who recruits a reluctant football player to appear in the controversial school musical, Spring Awakening.

Auli’i explained on the panel about how she related to her character, Lilette.
“Part of me was able to relate to her pain, and her mother who just wanted the best for her,” she shared.
Auli’i‘s Lilette will take on the role of Spring Awakening‘s Wendla in the musical inside the show.

Auli’i stars in the upcoming NBC musical drama, which debuts on March 13.

In a recent interview, Ivana opened up about Eretria’s growth we’ll see in season two of the show.
“Eretria undergoes a remarkable transformation in Season 1. Essentially, she goes from being selfish to selfless, and in the quest to save her life and the world from a demon invasion, she learns about love, compassion, and friendship.”
