Mentored by Gleb Savchenko, the 14-year-old singer and partner Sage Rosen wowed with a fun Samba, set to Sia‘s “Cheap Thrills” – the same song which catapulted her sister, Maddie, to fame after appearing in the music video.
Maddie actually popped up in the dance at the end of the dance and it was amazing!
Kenzie and Sage, who dedicated her performance to Maddie, picked up 27 points out of 30 for their first ever performance.

Full house standing O’sss, mega loud cheering and the season’s first “10″! We brought all the energy and feels into the Rollie Rollie hip hop dance and I channeled my inner Beyonce and Cardi B to redeem myself after last week. I just knew that Artyon and I had to come out super strong and bring the power, attitude and that’s exactly what we did! Okurrr We went right back to work and had a lot of motivation. We blocked out the noise, the chitter chatter and focused on showing our fans why we deserve to win this mirror ball!
We didn’t have much time to learn the song and the choreography. I think I learned the whole number in like 2 hours and Artyon and I just spent the rest of the time getting our moves sharp and popping, which wasn’t easy to do because our timing had to be perfect. Brandon knew how disappointed we were and how important it was for our team to really come out and give the crowd and the judges something they had never seen before but I wasn’t expecting Val to take off his Rolex and hand it over to me! LOL
It was a such a fun night. Not only the song and costumes but also having our families there wearing black and gold to match our outfits. We came in as one big, happy, and fun family it was really awesome. Afterwards Jordan Fisher was so ecstatic and proud of how we rebounded and Adam even said “That’s what makes a champion!”
Fun Fact: Afterwards many producers and mentors came up to us and said that in all of their years on DWTS, they never heard the audience cheering so loud in the ballroom!
