Danielle Campbell keeps close to her on-screen love interest Nolan Sotillo as they arrive at the Prom premiere after party held at Hollywood High School on Thursday night (April 21).

The 16-year-old actress wore a stunning Lela Rose red dress and completed her look with a Kotur bag and Aldo heels. We love her look!

Danielle caught up with JJJ during the recent press junket and hinted about if Lucas and Simone would go to their senior prom together. “They should! I should hope that they’ll still be together by then (laughs).”

We’re back with more of our exclusive interview with Prom starlet Danielle Campbell.

Not only are we sharing some on-set secrets from the 16-year-old actress, but we also have a brand-new clip from the film, which opens on April 29th. Check it out:

JJJ: Are there any favorite moments you recall from the Prom set?
Danielle Campbell: When we were filming the last scenes from the Prom, the actual dance, we filmed in this juvenile delinquent center that was run down. One of our co-stars had looked it up and apparently it was haunted. It was one of the haunted places in L.A. We had a lot of fun at night walking around together and kind of freaking each other out. We’d just be really jumpy while walking through the grounds. That was really fun. We all had a good time doing that.

We’d always be talking in between scenes. Nolan would always have his guitar out and so he was always singing and we had someone to listen to. We were waiting for our first cast interview and we all went to the equipment truck and they had a football so we were all playing football for a long time, and Frisbee. It was so much fun though. I’ve got a brother so I love to do all that. I love to get out of the house. It’s cool when we get to come out here. There is so much that you can do, like hiking and swimming and running. There are endless possibilities. In Chicago, we’re limited since we’re in a city area. It was so much fun though. We were playing for a good hour or two.

We’re back with more of our exclusive interview with Prom starlet Danielle Campbell.

The 16-year-old chatted with JJJ about her own school dance experience, Simone’s fashion sense and being treated differently at her school. Check it:

JJJ: Was there a magic quality going to your dance?
Danielle Campbell: It was a completely different experience. I was going my friends. I was going with a guy who asked me. It was so fun. We danced the whole night. Then we went back and hanged out with our friends at someone’s house. Pictures, we did at someone’s house. It was a lot of fun. I’m actually getting ready to go to something called Turnabout at my school, which is where the girl asks the guy. I asked one of my good friends named Ryan. I cut out the letters of Turnabout and I put an inside joke on the back of them. It was like a scavenger hunt because on the back it would tell him to do something, so that last one sent him to my house and on my front door it said ‘bring me your answer.’ It had a card that said yes and a card that said no. So he brought me the yes and we’re going to Turnabout next weekend. It will be really fun. I’m really excited.

JJJ: Do you know what you are going to be wearing?
DC: In Chicago it’s winter right now. I have a black dress and it is one shoulder. The
strap is silver and it crosses in the back. It’s really pretty. Oh, and black shoes.

JJJ: How do you like the warm L.A. weather?
DC: I am loving it. I went running this morning up in the hills. It feels so good to be out here. I feel like I should’ve brought shorts. I would look strange to most Californians, but it feels so warm to me. I love it. I love it so much.

Safety First!

Nolan Sotillo and Cameron Monaghan show off their lacrosse helmets in this brand-new, exclusive clip from their upcoming movie, Prom.

As part of making the lacrosse team at Brookside High, the buddies have to wear the helmets all day long. While the Varsity team thinks it’s a rite of passage, Danielle Campbell thinks it’s cute.

Danielle Campbell outshines our JJJ coasters by a mile in this new shot from our recent interview.

The 16-year-old actress chatted with us about her upcoming film, Prom, high school dances, love triangles and what she would’ve loved to get for her 16th birthday. Check it out below:

JJJ: Hi Danielle. Tell us about Simone, your character in Prom.
Danielle Campbell: Simone is a sophomore, which is just like me in public high school. She has kind of just blossomed over the summer. She is kind of just discovering herself and finding herself this year because she’s now getting noticed by boys, like one of the seniors, a very popular boy, Tyler Barsow. She’s trying to figure out who she is right now. She loves music and she plays her guitar all the time and that’s her favorite thing to do. So this is kind of her coming out year.

JJJ: Are you the type of girl who plays guitar?
DC: You know, I started to want to pick it up. My brother is really good at guitar, so he started teaching me a couple of things. Playing on set, Nolan Sotillo, he is really good at the guitar, so he was teaching me a couple things too so I would like to pick it up more. That boy knows how to sing. He is a man of all trades.
