Sabrina Carpenter is headed back to the big screen!

The 20-year-old actress has signed on to star in The Distance From Me to You, based on the YA novel of the same name by Marina Gessner.

The project will bring Sabrina back together with her Girl Meets World co-star Danielle Fishel, who is acting as an executive producer on The Distance From Me to You.

Sabrina recently appeared in The Hate U Give and will appear in the upcoming movie, Short History of The Long Road.

The book, described by Deadline as “Wild meets Endless Love,” is a romance/thriller about two teens who meet and fall in love on the treacherous Appalachian Trail.

The “Sue Me” singer received the sweetest birthday wishes from her Girl Meets World co-star Danielle Fishel on her big day, Saturday (May 11).

“Happiest of birthdays to this little nugget who used to steal my phone to take selfies like this one,” Danielle captioned the Instagram photo below. “We met when she was 13 and now, as of 13 minutes ago, she’s officially no longer a teen.”

“She’s my twenty year old princess, my little bb, one of my best friends, and one of the most genuinely kind, warm, funny, loving souls I’ve ever known,” Danielle added. “Can’t wait to see what the next decade holds for you, @sabrinacarpenter.”

“Love u more than you’ll ever know,” Sabrina commented.

We always knew that Sabrina Carpenter had an amazing bond with Danielle Fishel.

Over the weekend, Danielle got married to Jensen Karp and Sabrina, who she starred with on Girl Meets World, was one of her bridesmaids!

Danielle shared her wedding party pic on Instagram this morning, writing, “Like most trying/rewarding experiences in life, marriage takes a village. Best friends to support you, encourage you, help you gain perspective.”

“These are our people who stood by us that day, our bridal party, and will stand with us for the rest of our lives. We love you all SO MUCH our little hearts could explode,” she added.

Bailee Madison and Alex Lange pose on the red carpet at the 2018 American Humane Hero Dog Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (September 29) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The young couple was joined at the event by Bailee‘s sister Kaitlin, her Good Witch co-star James Denton, Ariel Winter and Levi Meaden, and Girl Meets World‘s Danielle Fishel.

Also in attendance were newlyweds Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell, Home & Family co-hosts Cameron Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos, Beth Stern, and Alison Sweeney.

The American Humane Hero Dog Awards is an “annual, nationwide competition that searches out and recognizes America’s Hero Dogs – often ordinary dogs who do extraordinary things, whether it’s saving lives on the battlefield, lending sight or hearing to a human companion, or simply providing the tail-wagging welcome a pet owner relishes at the end of a hard day.”

The program will air on Wednesday, October 24 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.
