Danielle Panabaker Talks Ruby Rose Joining Arrowverse as Batwoman: 'It's Fantastic'

Danielle Panabaker Talks Ruby Rose Joining Arrowverse as Batwoman: 'It's Fantastic'

Danielle Panabaker is really excited about Ruby Rose joining the Arrowverse as another badass female heroine.

The actress, and future Flash director, opened up in a new interview with ET about Ruby joining the fandom as Batwoman in the upcoming crossover, Elseworlds.

“It’s fantastic [to have her here]. I think it’s an excellent addition to the universe,” she shared. “Obviously we have Supergirl, and that’s a really great step for telling female stories. I think Batwoman is another step in that direction, but it’s also gonna be different and unique.”

“She’s gonna have her own journey and her own world. I’m pretty excited about it,” Danielle added.

Danielle also talked about the feel of the crossover itself, saying that “it’s great — I feel like they did a really fantastic job writing the crossovers this year.”

“You know, rather than being about, ‘How many superheroes can we get in one room?’ they’ve told a really great story [this year]. Obviously, we’re introducing some exciting new characters, and I think fans are gonna love it.”

Elseworlds kicks off on Sunday, December 9th on The CW.

Killer Frost Makes Her Chilly Return on 'The Flash' - Watch Here!

Killer Frost Makes Her Chilly Return on 'The Flash' - Watch Here!

Caitlin Snow has found Killer Frost!

During last night’s episode of The Flash, the icy heroine made her return to battle her own father, who was up to something more sinister.

Thomas Snow had actually been battling ALS all those years ago and quarantined himself after he began experimenting with cryogenic therapies, where he froze the progression of the disease – and he also froze Caitlin’s too, since she had the genetic marker for ALS.

Turns out though, that while he created Killer Frost in Caitlin, he also created Icicle in himself, and Icicle is trying to take Thomas out.

After sending the message to come find him because he needed Caitlin’s cells for a serum that will suppress his human side, Killer Frost makes her return, and gets rid of the serum. However, not before Icicle escapes.

Danielle Panabaker Dishes On Why Now Was The Right Time To Direct on 'The Flash'

Danielle Panabaker Dishes On Why Now Was The Right Time To Direct on 'The Flash'

We were really excited when it was officially announced that Danielle Panabaker was headed behind the camera as a director this season on The Flash.

Speaking with Collider, the -year-old actress opened up about how she felt about switching roles for the series and all the scariest parts.

“We’ve made 100 episodes of the show, and I’ve always paid attention to special effects and things like that. When we have new directors come in, I have empathy for them because learning the special effects is a totally different language,” Danielle says about why now was the right time.

She adds, “As someone who has been there for so long and understands it, I do think I have a leg up on somebody coming in, who’s never done it before. After that long, I felt really comfortable stepping into those shoes.”

Danielle also spoke about the aspects that were scary for her and how it felt to be the “boss” so to speak.

“I don’t see directing as being their boss. Hopefully, they know that I’ve got their back, in a really special, unique way.”

“If a new director comes in, they might not have seen all of our 100 episodes, but I have. I’ve lived them, I know the stories, and I know the trials and tribulations. Having been there with the rest of my cast and all of these storylines for so long, I know what’s important to them and I want to support them, in whatever that looks like.”

Here's Why Caitlin & Ralph Won't Be A Romantic Couple on 'The Flash'

Here's Why Caitlin & Ralph Won't Be A Romantic Couple on 'The Flash'

If you were rooting for Caitlin Snow and Ralph Digby to get together on The Flash, we hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that’s not happening.

Hartley Sawyer shot the notions down over the weekend at The CW’s Fall Launch event and revealed that the duo’s friendship will be focused on in the next episode.

“What I love the most about that episode is we explore Caitlin and Ralph together,” Hartley says. “I see people all the time thinking like, ‘Oh is this going to be a romance?’ It’s not a romance, but I love what the friendship is…”

He adds, “I love those two characters together, the bond that they have, and that bond is going to further as well.”

We love it too, and but let’s not forget Caitlin’s romantic past – her fiance died, then there were some other romances after that, including Tom Felton‘s Julian, but none panned out into something more.

We love that Ralph and Caitlin’s relationship is just a friendship – it sounds like the exact thing she needs.

Danielle and Hartley have actually been longtime friends off the screen.
