Huge Descendants news came out at 2022 D23 Expo on Saturday (September 10) in Anaheim, Calif.
China Anne McClain took to the stage and revealed she’ll be reprising her role as Uma for the upcoming fourth movie in the franchise!

The cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series took to the stage at the 2022 D23 Expo over the weekend!
Sofia Wylie, Joshua Bassett and Matt Cornett performed “Love Is An Open Door” from Frozen before Dara Renee, Julia Lester, Joe Serafini, Larry Saperstein, Frankie Rodriguez, Adrian Lyles, Liamani Segura and Saylor Bell joined them for a performance of “High School Musical” from High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
While appearing at the expo, new plot details were revealed for the show’s upcoming fourth season!

Dara Reneé is the latest High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star to pen an original song for the series!
The actress, who plays Kourtney on the series, wrote the latest original track, “Here I Come,” for her character in this week’s episode, “Camp Prom.”
Dara follows in the footsteps of her co-stars Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, who have each penned multiple songs for the show.
“OMGOSH YALL!!! MY ORIGINAL SONG IS OUT!! IS THIS REAL LIFE???? 😭💛🎉 This song means so much to me and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to write about something that hits so close to home❤️ Thank you @timfederle and @zachdodes for a chance of a lifetime 🥹🌼 THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!! The stars of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series recreated another iconic moment from the High School Musical movie franchise!
Frankie Rodriguez and Dara Renee sing “Fabulous” at the start of season three’s third episode.
The song is of course from High School Musical 2, featuring Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel, and it’s a fan favorite.
Fun fact: the same day the new episode dropped on Disney+ is also the 15 year anniversary of HSM2, which premiered on Disney Channel on August 17, 2007!

Joshua Bassett, Dara Renee and Matt Cornett hit the carpet at the Variety Power of Young Hollywood Celebration presented by Facebook Gaming held at NeueHouse on Thursday night (August 11) in Los Angeles.
The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series stars were among many current and former Disney stars in attendance at the event.
Also stepping out were Matt‘s Zombies 3 co-stars Pearce Joza and Chandler Kinney, her PLL: Original Sin co-star Malia Pyles, Raven’s Home‘s Sky Katz, Andi Mack‘s Asher Angel and brother Avi, Austin & Ally‘s Raini Rodriguez with brother Rico, Moana‘s Auli’i Cravalho, Eternals‘ Lia McHugh, Love, Victor‘s Isabella Ferreira and Anthony Keyvan, Clouds‘ Fin Argus and more.

Episode three of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season three is out NOW and the full cast list for their production of Frozen has been revealed!
The casting was teased at the end of the last episode, with Carlos attempting to change the results.
In Ep 3, the final list was unveiled at the top of the episode, and some of the fans’ hopes and predictions came true!
If you missed it, at Camp Shallow Lake, the campers are putting on the first production of a new version of Frozen, and it will all be documented on a Disney+ series (kind of exactly how season one went!).
New cast members this season Saylor Bell and Meg Donnelly do not have roles in the show. Saylor‘s Maddox will be stage manager while Meg‘s Val is the choreographer. Matt Cornett‘s EJ is directing, however, he was still cast in the production.
