David Archuleta has sent an apology to his fans after he echoed some anti-gay beliefs, which some believe were to support the new Indiana law that could have harmful effects to the LGBT community.
The new Indiana law has received widespread backlash as it is seen as a way for people and businesses to discriminate against those they disagree with, especially members of the LGBT community.
David, who came in second on season seven of American Idol, tweeted a quote said by Boyd K. Packer, President of the Quarum of the Twelve Apostles: “Romantic love is incomplete. It is a prelude. Love is nourished by the coming of children, who spring from the fountain of loveďż˝expressed between a man and a woman in marriage. #PresPacker.”

David Archuleta takes the stage to perform a song or two during the 2011 “Make A Difference” benefit concert held at the Ronald McDonald House on Tuesday night (November 8) in New York City.
The 20-year-old musician joined former American Idol alums Constantine Maroulis and David Cook for the event, which honored Calvin Klein, Inc. President & CEO Tom Murry.
The event raised over $325,000. The funds raised support for the organization’s mission of providing temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families while the child is undergoing active treatment at one or more of 13 partnering hospitals throughout New York City.
David tweeted, “Had a really great night tonight at Ronald McDonald House! Good hearing Cook again as well as Constantine Maroulis. Awesome performers.”
