In case you missed it, the 19-year-old singer will be dropping his new album, Other Side of Down, on September 14th.
David shared in a press release, “I’m really looking forward to releasing this album. Most of the songs on the album represent thoughts and experiences that I’ve personally gone through. I hope this album helps people understand more of where I’m coming from as an artist and as a person. It’s about moving forward in life, making progress in accomplishing your goals and dreams while appreciating what life has given you.”

David Archuleta takes over the red carpet at the American Idol Season 9 Finale held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (May 26).
The 19-year-old musician was joined by pals Jordin Sparks and Allison Iraheta on the carpet. Jordin even had a mini-Marilyn Monroemoment!
David was voted by fans as their favorite American Idol on Billboard.com. He shared, “[Winning the poll is] really flattering. It’s crazy. Carrie‘s [Underwood] just so successful. She’s sold millions and millions of albums and she has a great voice and a great personality.”
David is also pictured at the BritWeek 2010 Charity Event held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel earlier in the year.
