Gregg Sulkin Sends Massive Thanks to David Henrie & His 'Second Family' on Instagram

Gregg Sulkin is giving us major feels right now, thanks to his latest Instagram.

In the new post, the -year-old British-born actor is sending some major love to David and Lorenzo Henrie, and their parents, Jim and Linda, for accepting him into their family many years ago.

“In 2009 I moved to this country to work on a small show called Wizards of Waverly Place. The success of the show was incredible, and so was your support. However, if it wasn’t for this family, I truly don’t think I would be where I am today,” Gregg wrote, sharing a pic of him with Lorenzo as well as Jim and Linda.

He continued, “@davidhenrie & I became best friends, but then soon found out his younger brother @lorenzohenrie was just a little cooler than he was. His parents, Jim & Linda became my second family in a way, especially since my family lived back in London still.”

“Years later, our bond is more meaningful to me than ever,” Gregg adds. “Thank you Henrie family for taking me in as one of your own, giving me this opportunity in Alabama & for always being there for me in times of need & in some cases, even surgery!”

Gregg is currently filming new movie This Is The Year with Lorenzo and David.

Filming has begun on David Henrie‘s new movie This Is The Year!

While the 29-year-old actor-turned-director began pre-production on the flick earlier this month, stars Gregg Sulkin, Lorenzo Henrie and Vanessa Marano have just arrived in Alabama for filming.

Gregg took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt message about getting to work with David.

“Off to Alabama today for a project that after years of hard work and dedication, is getting made. As you may know, @davidhenrie became my best friend after working together when I first moved to the States, and I must admit this is a feeling I’ve never felt before heading into a project. He’s always been my best mate, however now he is going to be my director,” Gregg wrote.

He continued, “Honored to be part of this journey with you. Excited to be both in front of the camera and also associate produce this movie. Thank you for being a class act, a mentor and inspiration to me throughout the years. Okay, enough thank you’s. Let’s get to work…Some would say it’s a re-union. I say it’s a new beginning. Let’s get it.”

The story follows a timid high schooler who makes a last-ditch effort to win the girl of his dreams by heading out on a road trip to attend the biggest music festival of the year.

David Henrie Faces Three Charges After Bringing Gun to Airport

David Henrie has been hit with three charges after accidentally bringing a gun inside an airport.

The 29-year-old former Wizards of Waverly Place actor brought his legally owned personal gun to LAX airport in Los Angeles earlier this month.

David was immediately taken into custody after TSA agents discovered he had a loaded gun on him and he later issued an apology for the disruption.

According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office has filed three charges against David including carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and possessing a weapon in a sterile area of the airport.

If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year behind bars.

Wizards of Waverly Place‘s David Henrie was arrested on Monday (September 10) for possession of a loaded gun at LAX Airport and now he is speaking out to apologize for the trouble he caused in the situation.

The gun was found in David‘s bag while he was going through security at the airport that morning and authorities immediately detained him.

“I take responsibility for the situation at LAX today,” David said in a statement on social media. “I unintentionally brought my legally owned gun which is registered in my name to the airport. I am so sorry for any trouble it caused, but I am appreciate of TSA’s efforts in implementing the safety laws that are in place to protect our beautiful country.”

“More than anything I am humiliated and embarrassed that this even happened,” David added. “But am thankful to the TSA, LAPD and all involved today for their kindness and their professionalism during this process.”

Vanessa Marano has landed an exciting new role!

The 25-year-old actress has booked a lead role in David Henrie‘s movie The Is The Year.

Vanessa will play Molly in the indie film about a nebbishy high schooler who makes a last-ditch effort to win over the girl of his dreams by embarking on a road trip to attend the greatest music festival of the year, only to discover true love in the most unexpected place.

Vanessa joins previously announced cast members Gregg Sulkin, Lorenzo Henrie, Jake Short, Madison Iseman, and Bug Hall, who is also one of the writers. David will serve as director.

Filming is set to begin in Atlanta this week!
