The 23-year-old actor dished about his upcoming projects, dating and just why he’s not a part of the Wizards reunion special.
“I did not participate in the TV movie for several reasons. One of the reasons was that there were conflicting dates with a film I was doing called 1000 to 1. Wizards did so much for me and I am so grateful for the fan base it built up. My dream has always been to entertain audiences acting in feature films, so I hope that my fan base will cross over with me as I move into the next stage of my career in feature films. When the show ended, I did what you’re supposed to do when something ends — I moved on to a new, fresh, challenging roles,” he shared.
David continued, “When I head the idea of Wizards movie taking place after being wrapped for over a year and a half, I came to the conclusion that jumping back into the Wizards world didn’t feel like a fresh and challenging role that would progress my career.”
In the flick, the Russo family and their friends travel to Tuscany, Italy, to meet their long lost relatives…but when Alex (Gomez) tries to prove she’s more than a seemingly carefree young Wizard, she inadvertently conjures a spell that creates a Good Alex and an Evil Alex.
When Evil Alex gets roped into a charming young wizard’s foreboding plan to take over the world, Good Alex must find a way to save her family and humankind, which leads to a monumental battle between the two versions of herself – all atop the Tower of Pisa.
The next day, Davidtweeted his support for his former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star Gregg Sulkin: “Check out my dog @greggsulkin on Pretty Little Liars 8/7 central I think. #hashragGoGregg #hashtagStud.”

David Henrie hits the red carpet at the premiere of Act of Valor held at ArcLight Cinemas in Los Angeles on Monday night (February 13).
The 22-year-old actor tweeted of the flick, “Just watched Act of Valor. Y’all should see it so u can understand what sacrifice means for our freedom.”
Act of Valor follows an elite team of Navy SEALs embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.
Directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh conceived the idea for a modern day action movie about this covert and elite fighting force.
“As Act of Valor developed with the SEALs on board as advisors, the film makers realised that no actors could realistically portray or physically fill the roles they’d written and the actual SEALs were drafted in to the film. None of the SEALs’ names will appear in the credits of the film,” WTKR reports.
