The casts of Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up have fun with the JJJ coasters in this behind-the-scenes pic from the big crossover event happening THIS SUNDAY!
We were lucky enough to catch the two casts on set the day of shooting and found out about the episode, how Bridgit Mendler‘s dancing skills were and the baseball rivalry going on. Check it:
JJJ: How did the crossover come about?
Bradley Steven Perry: We knew we were going to do a crossover with them eventually
Adam Irigoyen: We’ re right next door to each other, so it was bound to happen.
Bridgit Mendler: Leigh [Allyn Baker] and I found out we were dancing, like, a week before, that was fun.
JJJ: Since Gabe and PJ are back in Denver, could you see them dancing as well as Teddy and Amy?
BSP: Nope. Nope.
Jason Dolley: Not even close. [I can do some] Irish step dancing, but I would not fit in at all.
JJJ: Bridgit, was it difficult for you to pick up the dance routine?
BM: I think my main hurdle was like, the dance confidence. I’ m not exactly the most
confident dancer. The first day, I, you know, roughly got the choreography down.
The second day we kind of more figured it out. And I think by the end we were more
comfortable with the material, so, we’ re happy with it.
JD: It looked fantastic.

Bella Thorne, Bridgit Mendler, Mia Talerico, Leigh-Allyn Baker and Zendaya get their dance on in this new still from the Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up crossover episode.
In “Charlie Shakes It Up,” Teddy (Mendler), Amy (Baker) and Charlie (Talerico) travel to Chicago to visit their Aunt Nell, but through a series of mix ups, they wind up on the set of “Shake It Up Chicago,” where they are mistaken for the famous hip-hop duo, “The Duncan Sisters.”
Amy convinces Teddy that this could be her only shot on television, so with the help of Rocky (Zendaya) and Cece (Thorne), they come up with a winning dance number, with Charlie joining them for the big finish.
Meanwhile, back at home, Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry) and PJ (Jason Dolley) host a garage sale and end up accidentally selling Mrs. Dabney an old cat jar filled with money.

Davis Cleveland has finally found himself a TV watching buddy in this new still from Shake It Up.
In the upcoming episode “Sweat It Up,” Rocky (Zendaya) and CeCe (Bella Thorne) learn a valuable lesson in lying after Rocky is untruthful about being able to hang out with the honor society kids, and CeCe fakes a leg injury to skip gym class.
Both are caught in their deceit when they are seen Salsa dancing on “Shake It Up Chicago!” the same day.
Meanwhile, Flynn (Cleveland), Deuce (Adam Irigoyen) and Ty (Roshon Fegan) find out dog sitting is more than they can handle

Adam Irigoyen walks and talks with Davis Cleveland as they head into Fred Segal for an event in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (April 22).
The 13-year-old Shake It Up star opened up to Latina mag about diversity at Disney, laying down his own tracks and dancing with Roshon Fegan. Check it:
On looking up to Selena Gomez: “I definitely want to do what Selena did – just the boy version. I want to sing in Spanish. When I started realizing that I wanted to sing, at that time Selena didn’t sing. So I was like, ‘You know, I can be the first person on Disney Channel to actually sing in Spanish’. And then Selena came out. Well now I’ll still be the first boy! That would be great. And then maybe later on down the line Selena and I can do a song together in Spanish. I mean, who knows? That kind of idea is what I’m going for.”
On the diversity: “Yeah, I think that’s great. Recently, I don’t think that there’s been a boy that has been Latino and has been able to speak Spanish. But there have been a lot of girls. I feel like it’s great for me to be one of the only {boys}. I’m not the only boy that they’ve ever had that’s been Latino, but I’m one of a handful of people that has been able to represent the Latino market and been able to travel. Disney sent me out to Argentina to do a Disney show over there and I did it all in Spanish and it was great. It’s going to be shown in all Latin America. I felt honored to have the opportunity to be a part of that.”
On tango-ing with Roshon: “I meet my girlfriend’s mother. It’s funny because the episode where I meet my girlfriend’s mom, I try to impress her, so I go to Ty because my character is very insecure when it comes to dancing and he doesn’t think he can dance. So I go to Roshon for advice and we end up dancing the tango together – Roshon and I. We do this whole tango number and I also do it with my girlfriend’s mother to try to impress her, so it’s really funny. I can dance in real life.”
Anneliese van der Pol and Meagan Holder feel the blues with Bella Thorne and Zendaya in this new still from Shake It Up.
In “Reunion It Up,” CeCe and Rocky get the chance to dance with Ronnie (van der Pol) and Angie (Holder), two of the original “Shake It up Dancers” for the show’s fifteenth anniversary.
But former best friends Angie and Ronnie are constantly at each other’s throats, which makes CeCe (Thorne) and Rocky (Zendaya) evaluate their own friendship.
Meanwhile, Ty (Roshon Fegan) and Deuce (Adam Irigoyen) help Flynn (Davis Cleveland) plan his goldfish’s funeral.

Zendaya keeps it au natural as she arrives with costar Bella Thorne at the 2011 Disney Kids & Family upfront held at Gotham Hall in NYC on Wednesday morning (March 16).
The duo were joined by the rest of the Shake It Up cast — Roshon Fegan, Kenton Duty, Caroline Sunshine and Davis Cleveland — and performed a dance number at the presentation.
Zendaya shared with us on Monday about her big NY trip, “It’s my first time here, so I’m trying to hit up all the spots I can! We went into TopShop, which everyone was telling me to go to and I got a really cute jacket.”
