Demi Lovato is on the road to recovery after being discharged from the hospital over the weekend.

The 25-year-old singer is now in a rehab facility and she reportedly flew there on a private plane after being released from the hospital on Saturday (August 4). The facility is located outside of California, according to TMZ.

Demi broke her silence on Sunday and told fans that she would be taking “time to heal and focus on [her] sobriety and road to recovery.”

Demi‘s team will reportedly cut bad influences out of her life after she leaves rehab to make sure she has the best support around her.

Demi Lovato is speaking out for the first time since suffering an overdose late last month.

In a heartfelt note, the 25-year-old entertainer thanked her fans for their support and vowed to keep fighting.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” Demi wrote.

She continued, “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”

“I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting,” Demi concluded.

Demi Lovato is planning on seeking continued treatment following her hospitalization as she will reportedly go straight to rehab once she is released from Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center.

The 25-year-old singer has been hospitalized for over a week following her apparent overdose and she has agreed to go to rehab once she is better, according to TMZ.

Demi experienced complications after her apparent overdose and remained in the hospital with extreme nausea and fever. Her family decided to wait until she was feeling better to bring up rehab.

It’s not yet known if Demi will stay local or go to rehab in another state.

The 25-year-old superstar suffered an apparent overdose eight days ago and has remained in the hospital due to complications.

A source says Demi‘s team is making plans for her to head to rehab, although the decision is ultimately hers.

“She could die if she doesn’t, and that’s not going to be on my watch that we did nothing,” the source told TMZ.

They added that Demi didn’t get help after breaking her sobriety several months ago but her overdose seemed to have scared her enough to seek treatmen

The fans gathered at Atlantic City Beach on Thursday (July 26), where the singer was scheduled to perform before the show was canceled in the wake of her apparent drug overdose.

They sang the lyrics to Demi‘s emotional track “Sober,” which recalls her recent relapse after six years of sobriety.

The impromptu concert attracted a crowd, and fans shouted, “We still love you!” at the end.

Demi is currently still in the hospital, and stars have been voicing their support for her on social media. Her ex, Wilmer Valderrama, has also visited her in the hospital.
