Dove Cameron & Sofia Carson Surprise High School Theater Students During Zoom Reunion

Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson gave one group of students quite the surprise!

The Descendants co-stars crashed a Zoom reunion of kids from the Leavenworth High Theatre Class.

The students put on the first ever production of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical earlier this year and two of the stars of the movie series surprised them and gave them words of encouragement and advice.

“I’m scrolling through every face here and this is so special. I’m looking at every single one of you and I’m finding this to be like the most incredible, I mean this has made my week, my month. We’re all on the same side at the theater. You have your family, you have your friends, and then a cast is something different,” Dove told them.

“It’s been a really beautiful thing to see that even though we’ve never been more physically isolated, we’ve also in an incredible way have never been more connected. Look at us, when would we have been able to do this? You know, all of us here in this moment,” Sofia said. “And we actually got to see parts of what you guys created for the Descendants musical, and it was really phenomenal. It really blew us away.”

Dove Cameron Opens Up About Why Her Music Is Darker Than People Expect

Dove Cameron Opens Up About Why Her Music Is Darker Than People Expect

Dove Cameron is dishing on her new music and how it’s different from her Disney Channel days.

In a recent interview, the 24-year-old songstress and actress opened up about her music being darker than you would expect it to be.

“Nobody ever believes me when I say this, so I always say this kind of defeated, but I am, like, a dark person” Dove told Apple Music. “I always have been. And I just ended up with a career path that was very shiny.”

“I never felt like I needed to project anything. And I really thought people would just authentically receive who I was, but it doesn’t really happen in the industry,” she continued. “You kind of have to brand yourself and really communicate with people if they are going to respond to that. And so I think all of these years, I thought I was being received for the person that I am, and it really shocked me to see how much people don’t really know that side of me.”

“So it is a conscious decision to release darker, more moody music. But its not to break away from anything, as much as it is to express who I’ve always been,” Dove added.

The video kicks off with Dove‘s camera falling over and she says, “This is at home videos you guys. I am not made for this.” LOL, oops!

She added that she always starts out with washing her hands, more so since quarantine started, and because she’s a germaphobe.

“First off, I wash my hands. I’ve definitely gotten more conscious of that since being in quarantine, but also, I don’t know, I’m such a germaphobe. I feel like you touch so many things, and there’s so much dirt and oil, and stuff like that… so I never like to touch my face until I’ve washed my hands,” Dove said.
