So there was a HUGE reveal during tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars and everyone wants to know exactly who this guy named Charles is!
SPOILER ALERT!!! It was revealed that Charles has been A all this time and he is seemingly the twin brother of Jason (Drew Van Acker).
Now, series creator and executive producer Marlene King is dishing all about the reveal in an Entertainment Tonight interview. Here’s what she had to share:
On how long this ‘A’ has been tormenting the Liars: “Well Mona says that when she was in Radley, this ‘A’ stole the game from her. She was playing the game with this ‘A’ but then this ‘A’ stole the game from her. So if we believe what Mona said — and I am currently believing that — then this ‘A’ stole the game from Mona, starting at the beginning of season three.”
On how long the writers knew that Charles would be A: “We started when we knew that we were going to give the fans the identity of Original A, which [is what] I call Mona, “Original A.” It was before we started writing the scripts for that. We had three or four ideas of who we thought would be a great candidate to steal the game as ‘A’ from Mona, and then vey early on in season three we decided who that character is.”
Looks like Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) are those type of people now — the ones who go through other people’s trash.
In the new episode of Pretty Little Liars, “Whirly Girlie”, with the events of New York behind them and back in Rosewood, the Liars are unsettled to still be living under a cloud of secrets. Aria (Lucy Hale) is haunted by the recent past events, while Emily (Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Bellisario) try to wrap their head around the new normal.
Alison (Sasha Pieterse), on the other hand, is still sleeping with one eye open as she is forced to stay at home with her family who she doesn’t trust. Meanwhile, Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) odd behavior and Kenneth DiLaurentis’ search for Jessica starts to raise eyebrows about her disappearance.
Brant Daugherty is all smiles at the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Tuesday night (October 15) in Hollywood.
“At the #PLLhAlloween screening! So good to see everybody again,” Brant tweeted from the event.
According to a tweet from ET‘s Jarett Wieselman, we might see Noel Kahn again soon: “Brant‘s been talking to Marlene [King, showrunner] about Noel’s Rosewood return but can’t say more. Although I hear he’ll be back towards the end of 4B!”

There is less than a month until the season three premiere of Pretty Little Liars!
I’m going to miss playing Queen Bee Mona,” Janel Parrish, who plays the A-minion, told Huffington Post. “I hope there are flashbacks in which I can do all of the above [Nerdy Mona and Crazy Mona], especially the Dorky Mona scenes. I love them so much.”
Janel adds, “They’re so much fun and insightful. It just shows everyone’s back story and why they are the way that they are and everything. So I’m hoping for more flashbacks. I think they’re important to the show. But I am looking forward to playing Crazy Mona. It’s a new type of part for me. So it was a challenge and it was very, very fun.”
Drew dished to TVGuide a major spoiler for the upcoming winter premiere — “Jason comes back to town looking for answers as to who his real father is [and] we’ll learn my character is related to one of the four little liars, which shakes things up a lot.”
He adds, “The four of them have always seen Jason as this mysterious creep, but once they find out whom I’m related to, it changes the trust issue.”

In next week’s episode “Surface Tension,” Aria (Hale) finds Ezra (Harding) and Jason (Drew Van Acker) competing for her affections and Hanna (Ashley Benson) is displeased with Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) indifference to his shady transactions.
In the upcoming episode “The Devil You Know,” As the shocking news about Ian makes the rounds through Rosewood, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and their families all try to cope with the outcome and some much needed closure.
With her home life particularly in turmoil, Spencer (Bellisario) stays focused on her family and the surprising support she gets from her parents. Emily (Mitchell), on the other hand, can’t seem to find the closure that others are relishing, but rather digs her heels in to find any shred of evidence they may have over looked.
Aria (Hale) looks to find comfort in Ezra (Ian Harding), but with their relationship still new to the outside world, the couple struggles to be so public so fast. Meanwhile, Hanna (Benson) gets a surprising look into Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) life after his shady foster mother surfaces.
“The Devil You Know” premieres Tuesday, July 12 @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC Family. 10+ pics inside… More Here! »
