Get ready for more of Young Rock – the show was just picked up for a second season!
The NBC comedy “focuses on different chapters of Dwayne Johnson’s life. From growing up in a strong and resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of his professional wrestling family, to playing football at the University of Miami, the show will explore the crazy rollercoaster that has shaped Dwayne into the man he is today and the larger-than-life characters he’s met along the way.”
The season one finale is set to air NEXT Tuesday (May 4).
In addition, Kenan has also been renewed for a second season. The series follows “a widowed dad, Kenan, who’s juggling a high-profile job as the host of an Atlanta morning show and raising his two girls. As Kenan tries to move on, his father-in-law, brother and co-workers all have strong opinions on the best way to live his life.”
The DC Comics movie from Warner Bros will smash into theaters on July 29, 2022.
The logline teaser for the movie reads, “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
Titular star Dwayne Johnson shared the news on Instagram, writing, “A disruptive and unstoppable global force of a message from the man in black himself ⬛️🌍⚡️ BLACK ADAM is coming July 29, 2022. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
Noah will star in the film as Al Rothstein / Atom Smasher, who can control his molecular structure and is able to manipulate his size and strength.
While the movie’s official plot is being kept secret, for now, Black Adam “focuses on the DC character that was originally created as the archnemesis for the hero now known as Shazam. In modern times, however, the character has evolved into a more complex and conflicted anti-hero, rising to become one of DC’s more prominent characters. His origins are tied to ancient Egypt and his powers are supernatural in nature.”

Young Rock has been given an 11-episode series order, and will premiere on February 16th on NBC!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has found the actors to portray younger versions of himself on Young Rock!
The 48-year-old Jumanji star announced the news on his Instagram account, revealing all the stars of his new NBC comedy about his childhood.
Adrian Groulx will star as 10-year-old “Little Dewey,” Bradley Constant will play a 15-year-old Dwayne, and Marco Polo actor Uli Latukefu will play The Rock from ages 18 to 20.
The new NBC series “charts Johnson’s childhood from growing up in a strong and resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of his professional wrestling family, to playing football at the University of Miami. It will explore the rollercoaster that has shaped Johnson into the man he is today and the larger-than-life characters he’s met along the way,” Varietyreports.
