Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold Will Dance Rumba For 'DWTS' Season 25 Movie Night (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold spilled the beans to JJJ!

We can exclusively reveal that Lindsay and her celeb partner Jordan Fisher will be dancing a Rumba for Movie Night on Dancing With The Stars next week!

“It’s movie night and our genre is drama, so we are doing a rumba,” Lindsay revealed to us this week. “He’s so excited about this one.”

Fun fact — if Jordan was a dance, he says he’d definitely be a rumba (his words!)

Lindsay adds that he’s already having a challenge with it though, “We started yesterday working on it, and he’s already getting frustrated with it. He was like ‘Oh my gosh, I wanted to do this, but it’s very hard’.”

“We have our work cut out for us with this dance but I’m excited to take on the new dance and see what we can do.”

Lindsay Arnold Reveals The Challenges Jordan Fisher Faced That You Didn't See on 'DWTS' (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold Reveals The Challenges Jordan Fisher Faced That You Didn't See on 'DWTS' (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold has had quite an eventful week.

From getting the first perfect score for the season on Dancing With The Stars, to stopping by Ellen with partner Jordan Fisher (more on that soon).

With a little time to spare between everything else, Lindsay spoke with JJJ about the challenges that she and Jordan faced last week while working on their perfect Foxtrot for Disney night, and how she really feels about those video packages.

“When we found out that we had the Foxtrot, we were both actually a bit nervous because we were dancing in frame again,” Lindsay says. “That’s actually something that Jordan struggles with. It doesn’t not come natural to him to dance in a frame with someone right in front of him. It’s never been an easy thing for him and was a bit daunting.”

They have done frame dances before in the Tango and Viennese waltz earlier in the season, but it had been a few weeks.

Lindsay adds, “We were nervous about that because we have this goal to meet or exceed our standards and were a little worried that maybe our Foxtrot wasn’t going to do that. We were worked really hard and I tried to construct a dance that challenged him but also showcased his talents — and we found a great, happy medium with everything.”

Even though Lindsay is mentioning Jordan‘s struggles with the dance, you probably have a confused face asking “What? But we’ve never seen them.”

Which is why we had to ask her exactly what she thought about those video packages that air just before their performance. Click inside to see what she said… More Here! »

Lindsay Arnold Opens Up About Troupe Vs. Pro Status On 'Dancing With The Stars' (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold Opens Up About Troupe Vs. Pro Status On 'Dancing With The Stars' (Exclusive)

Earlier this season, many fans were disappointed to find out that Sasha Farber and Jenna Johnson were put back in the troupe after being a pro in the past, and Lindsay Arnold knows exactly how that feels.

If you remember, for her first year on the show, Lindsay was a pro and partnered up with boxer Victor Ortiz in season 16. They were eliminated fourth (8th place) and in season 17, she was put in the troupe.

“It was actually a huge deal for me. My very first season, I was a pro,” Lindsay recalls to JJJ. “After that, I was brought back down to the troupe for four more seasons.”

After the producers made that decision (a decision we’ve since learned has to do with height), she had a really tough time.

“I was battling with the idea of ‘why did I get taken away from being a pro? Is it because I wasn’t good enough? Am I not pretty enough? Do I know have a good enough personality?’ There was a lot of things that as a young dancer, I struggled with.”

Lindsay continues, “It took me a while to get over that and to stop trying that I wasn’t and trying to be this perfect person instead of recognizing that I needed to be myself.”

“I realized that if that wasn’t enough, then it wasn’t the right thing for me. As soon as I did that (being myself), that’s when I gained that confidence and right after then, I was a pro again. I stopped trying to be something that wasn’t me. I told myself to do just be you and ‘you are enough and things will happen the way they’re supposed to’. I did that and I was back as a pro.”

Believing in herself and just being who she was, was the key to Lindsay‘s success.

“More than anything, I was proud that I did it while I was myself,” she says. “I didn’t change who I was to get the promotion. I wasn’t trying to be something else to get that job that I wanted. I truly stopped doing that and was being Lindsay and being confident in myself.”

And that was all she had to do: “It was a huge life learning moment for me. Sometimes the doubts and fears that we have are keeping us from what we really want. Being happy and being confident in who you are is the thing that’s going to get you to where you want and need to be.”

Dancing With The Stars airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Lindsay Arnold Dishes on Her Charleston With Jordan Fisher: 'We Wanted People To Feel Like They Were Watching an Action Movie'

Lindsay Arnold and Jordan Fisher came out strong with a superhero Charleston on last night’s Dancing With The Stars that we all enjoyed.

The pro dancer, 23, chatted with JJJ after the show and opened up about Len Goodman‘s comment about not seeing a bit of Charleston in their performance, and how she felt about the performance overall.

“It was so much fun,” Lindsay says. “I was actually really excited about this dance, because it’s the first dance where you’re really getting to know Jordan and who he is and what made him the person he is today. Growing up with all sisters, I did not really read comic books. I was playing with Barbies and that was my thing. It was cool to learn about comic books and to see them through Jordan‘s eyes.”

With their performance, Lindsay was intent on making it as big as possible, like “people were watching a live action movie [with our dance] and I was so proud of how well it turned out.”

“It was beyond anything I could have imagined. Jordan absolutely nailed it and I was so grateful to the show for helping us create a wonderful masterpiece.”

However, when it came time for judge Len‘s comments, she wasn’t really expecting him not to like the performance at all.

Lindsay Arnold Says Jordan Fisher Feels the DWTS Pressure to Be Perfect (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold Says Jordan Fisher Feels the DWTS Pressure to Be Perfect (Exclusive)

Lindsay Arnold and Jordan Fisher are set to take the dance floor on tonight’s Dancing With The Stars with an Incredibles-inspired Charleston.

JJJ spoke with Lindsay before hand and she reveals that she and Jordan definitely feel that pressure to deliver something amazing every week.

“The biggest challenge for us was worrying about letting people down a bit,” she says. “We don’t ever want to come out and have a dance that has the audience saying ‘I expected more from Jordan‘.”

Lindsay adds, “Jordan came out very strong that first week and he has a high standard that he has to uphold now. That puts the pressure on him because this is not easy for him. This is not something he’s done before ever and unlike any style that he’s ever learned. It’s a challenge for him, just like it is for everyone else.”

Jordan is putting a ton of pressure on himself for that reason.

“Getting over those challenges, while also recognizing that people are expecting a lot from him week after week, I think that’s the biggest challenge,” Lindsay shared. “He did well [last week], but he still has big shoes to fill and those are his own shoes. He’s gotta make sure he gets better week after week.”

And don’t think that just because you’re wowed by their performances that it’s a piece of cake rehearsing it, because it’s not.

“People maybe do think that this is easy for him and it’s not a challenge because he’s already so good — and it’s not,” she adds. “It’s the exact opposite; because he is good, he has to get better, unless it’s boring and nobody wants to watch. There’s a lot of pressure in that area.”

Lindsay Arnold Dishes on 'DWTS' Season 25: 'We Are Going To Be Shocked By Every Elimination'

Do you think you know who’s going to go home tonight on Dancing With The Stars?

You don’t? Neither does pro Lindsay Arnold.

Speaking with JJJ last week, Lindsay opened up about how stacked this season is with no expected front runner — not even her partner Jordan Fisher.

“All the competitors are pushing to be even better because the competition is so stiff,” she says. “Everyone is so great and that’s [getting a 9] pushing everyone to want to be better.”

Lindsay adds, “There’s not one [celeb] on the bottom of the totem pole, like ‘Oh, we know they’ll go home soon’. There’s not one couple that’s like that. We are going to be shocked every single week and that’s terrifying.”

Lindsay Arnold Dishes On the DWTS Choreography Timeline (Exclusive)

Every week, the Dancing With The Stars pros are given a song and dance for the next week with their celeb partner.

They’re expected to choreograph and teach them all within a week, on top of those opening pro numbers you see week after week…so, how do they do it all? Lindsay Arnold is here to explain.

“Every week is a little bit different,” Lindsay explains. “There are weeks that I have the song the night before. For example, I got the song and dance Monday night and I listened to it on Tuesday.”

She continues, “After Latin Night, I went home and choreographed up until about 1 am. I woke up the next morning, go to rehearsal and depending on who your partner is, it can take up to two days to learn the entire routine, or even more, or less.”

Lindsay adds that the song is a big factor in what the pros choreograph, and how they teach it — and sometimes, they won’t even have a cleared song at all until days after the previous show.

“There were a lot of times last season where I would have a rehearsal and not even know what my song was because it hadn’t been cleared yet,” she says, remembering what happened last season with partner David Ross.

“I had a song and I choreographed an entire routine to it: on Tuesday, I taught him the whole thing and at the end of that day, I was informed that the song wasn’t cleared and we couldn’t use it,” she recalls. “The next day, I had to start from scratch and was actually choreographing on the spot to a new song; and then teaching him. That happens all the time.”

Lindsay continues, “As a pro, we have to be ready for that and on our A-game; ready for those kinds of changes and challenges that come our way. Every week, there’s something new. Whether it’s the song changing or your set piece is being taken away, or a new costume…there are so many things that we have to be ready for.”

Later on we spoke to Lindsay about her next dance with partner Jordan Fisher. Click inside to see what she told us… More Here! »
