Joe Alwyn suits up for the Solo: A Star Wars Story premiere!
The Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk star, who is dating Taylor Swift, stepped out for the event held during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on Tuesday (May 15) in Cannes, France.
Joe, looking sharp in a black and white tux, was joined by Elizabeth Debicki, who sported a black gown with white flowers on it.
They were also joined by The Fate of the Furious‘ Michelle Rodriguez, who dazzled in a black strapless ensemble.
The day before, Joe and Elizabeth were honored at the Trophee Chopard Ceremony, marking Joe‘s Cannes Film Festival red carpet debut. They both accepted the Chopard Trophy, which highlights the up-and-coming generation of the international film industry.

Joe Alwyn suits up for the Trophee Chopard Ceremony!
The The Favourite actor – aka Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend – attended the event held during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival at Hotel Martinez on Monday (May 14) in Cannes, France.
The event marked Joe‘s Cannes Film Festival red carpet debut. He was joined by Elizabeth Debicki as they both accepted the Chopard Trophy, which highlights the up-and-coming generation of the international film industry.
“I haven’t been to Cannes before so to come here to such a prestigious festival for my first time and to receive this award is amazing and such an honor, especially seeing the list of people who have won it before, it’s amazing to be added to that–that group of names,” Joe said (via E! News). “I feel very lucky to do something that I love as a job and so to be recognized in this way at such a relatively early stage of my career is a huge vote of confidence and is very special, so thank you.”

The 26-year-old The Originals actress was joined at the event by honoree Elizabeth Debicki, Hugh Laurie, Once Upon a Time‘s Georgina Haig and director Michael Bay.
Hugh hit the stage to honor Elizabeth with the Breakthrough Talent of 2015 award.
“I feel so honored to be the recipient of the breakthrough award for 2015. Australians in Film are a wonderful organization and they have been so influential in their support to Australian artists and our artistic community both at home and internationally,” Elizabeth expressed.

The 24-year-old actress stars as Lady Macduff in the film, opposite Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
If you’re not familiar with the Shakespearean play, Macbeth centers on the fictional duke of Scotland, who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland.
