Season 6 of Arrow isn’t that far off, and in a new interview with Collider, EP Marc Guggenheim spilled so much tea about the show — including a ton about Felicity Smoak.
Marc revealed that Felicity will definitely be getting her own business this season. SmoakTech is coming!
“Last season we wanted for her to do her own business storyline, but we got sidetracked by Helix. We are finally doing a business for her [this season],” he says.
He also shared that there’s another storyline coming for Felicity that’s separate from the team.
“We have another story in the back half that I don’t want to spoil,” Marc adds. “But it involves a situation that is separate from the team.”
“We want to avoid her being defined only by her relationship to Oliver and by her activities on the team. We want to give Felicity as much as an outside life as possible while also at the same time have her storylines feel organic and that they are a part of the show.”
While nothing is known about the fifth episode, this one of the many times that Felicity has made an appearance on the show — her first being back in season one.
The episode, titled “Girls Night Out” will also be Katee Sackhoff‘s debut as DC Comics villain Amunet Black aka Blacksmith.
Blacksmith is described as the “steely” boss of an underground black market for supervillains.
Fans are dying to know whether there is any hope for Olicity – aka Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) – in season 6 of The CW’s Arrow.
EP Marc Guggenheim says that the duo is likely on the road to recovery for now.
“We put them on a very specific trajectory at the end of season 5,” Marc told Entertainment Weekly. “It would be very schizophrenic for us to suddenly take them off that trajectory.”
Marc added, however, “There is not a single romantic kiss between any two characters in the season premiere.”
Last month, Stephen and Emily shared their thoughts on Olicity as well. “If she’s alive, I hope that they reconcile the involvement of William (Jack Moore) and then get married,” Stephensaid. “I mean, he proposed already. He’s been sitting around. Waiting. So hopefully that happens.”
So… wedding bells? It looks like we’ll have to wait and see!
Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) is a tech genius — so why doesn’t she have her own company on Arrow?
That’s the question a lot of fans were asking last season and EP Marc Guggenheim revealed to TVLine that it didn’t happen all because they were all seduced by Helix.
“That was something we wanted to do last year, and then we got sort of seduced by the Helix storyline,” Marc shared, referencing Smoak Tech.
He adds that in the season 6 premiere episode, “I would say that people wanting that storyline will be happy, but for reasons that I think will be very obvious, it can’t be called Smoak Technologies,”
In a slew of interviews, the two stars didn’t hold back when it came to talk of the future of Felicity and Oliver’s on-screen relationship.
Stephen shared his thoughts about the future of Olicity with TVGuide: “If she’s alive, I hope that they reconcile the involvement of William (Jack Moore) and then get married…I mean, he proposed already. He’s been sitting around. Waiting. So hopefully that happens.”
And later on, Emily pretty much confirmed that Felicity IS alive, and we’ll be getting something of a wedding between the two in season 6. Check out the video with ET below!

He adds, “This is a very loving and personal movie for me — I am so excited to make it and share with you all.”
We can’t wait to hear more about the movie, which will be out next year sometime.
