The Wine of Summer is a story of love, both lost and found, of timeless beauty and the brightness of youth. James (Peck), at the age of 27, quits his law career in pursuit of his childhood dream of becoming an actor. While studying acting under the tutelage of Shelley (Marcia Gay Harden), he becomes engrossed in Carlo Lucchesi’s play, Tinto de Verano, which is set in Spain.
James’ girlfriend Brit (Chow) leaves him, and he spontaneously flies to Spain, where he encounters the misanthropic playwright Lucchesi (Bob E. Wells) at a bookstore in Barcelona. Lucchesi is in a relationship with a much younger woman, Veronica (Elsa Pataky), but still nurtures an old love for his long lost muse, Eliza (Sonia Braga), a novelist, who happens to be visiting her son, Nico (Nicholas Dominic Talvola) a trumpet player who also lives in Barcelona.
Ethan Peck decks himself out in purple as he heads to the set of The Selection in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday afternoon (March 27).
The 26-year-old actor will star as Prince Maxon, the handsome royal whom the girls are competing to marry.
The book-to-TV series is an epic romance set 300 years in the future which centers on a poor young woman, America Singer (Teegarden) who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads.

William, 24, rounds out the lead three in the CW’s new pilot, which also stars Ethan Peck.
Deadline reports that he’ll star as Aspen Leger, a handsome and brave young man with a regal bearing under his ragged clothes who belongs to the servant class and has to support his entire family.
He is having a secret, illegal relationship with America (Teegarden) since it’s not allowed to date anyone out of one’s caste. Despite his love for her, when he learns she has a shot at bettering her and her family’s lives by competing in The Selection, he takes himself out of the picture by enlisting in the royal army.
Also spotted around set were Chad Rook, Peta Sergeant, Merritt Patterson, and Celia Kate Massingham.
Aimee Teegarden will be competing to win Ethan Peck‘s hand in marriage, THR reports.

The 25-year-old actor, and grandson of Gregory Peck, is just one of three faces who are fronting the new campaign that will launch later this month.
Tuki Brando, grandson of Marlon Brando, and Logan Plant, son of Led Zeppelin front runner, Robert Plant, join Ethan for the campaign.
Editor in Chief Jeremy Langmead shared in a statement, “At Mr. Porter, we’re interested in style, talent and story-telling, and so we chose three people who encompass all three. Mr. Brando, Mr. Peck and Mr. Plant not only look good, have an individual style, and three very different paths, but they are descendents of style icons, too.”
The campaign will also allow customers to shop directly from the campaign images.
Kelsey Chow shows off her cute costar Ethan Peck as they arrive at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday night (November 14) in Los Angeles.
The duo star in the upcoming The Wine of Summer together.
Kelsey recently told us, “We start shooting in a couple of weeks but I know Ethan and the rest of the cast are actually shooting in Spain right now and I’m actually kind of jealous of that. My character unfortunately doesn’t go on that. I’m really happy to be a part of the film.”
Kelsey is also pictured (in McQ by Alexander McQueen, M.C.L. jewels, Swarovski bag and Ruthie Davis booties) at the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards held at Smashbox Studios over the weekend — she totally should’ve been honored, don’t you think?
