If you’re loving Zendaya‘s new HBO television series Euphoria, don’t expect to be watching it for many years to come.

The show is going to be getting a second season, but the president of HBO says he doesn’t foresee it being around for many more.

“Well, [the characters] are in high school, so there are only so many seasons it can go,” Casey Bloys told TV Line. “There’s a time limit.”

“We’ll follow [series creator Sam Levinson’s] lead on that,” he said in response to a question about a series end date. “There is no set plan. But I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [high school students].”

The season one finale airs this Sunday.

Zendaya and Storm Reid are super smiley in this pic because their HBO show, Euphoria, was just renewed for season two!

“Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has built an incredible world with an extraordinary cast led by the supremely talented Zendaya,” Francesca Orsi, executive vp HBO Programming, shared about the series, via THR.

“We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series. We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”

Euphoria centers on Zendaya‘s Rue, a 17-year-old addict fresh out of rehab. She befriends a new trans girl at her school, Jules (Hunter Schafer), and the two quickly develop an inseparable bond as the navigate the pressures of modern teen life.

Euphoria is currently airing Sundays on HBO.

'Euphoria' Fan Theory Suggests Zendaya's Character Might Actually Be Dead

'Euphoria' Fan Theory Suggests Zendaya's Character Might Actually Be Dead

We are not OK after hearing this new Euphoria fan theory.

Fans are suggesting that Zendaya‘s character, Rue Bennett, might actually be dead.

Yeah, it’s nuts – and totally could make sense.

Rue serves as the protagonist and the narrator of the series, and it would explain why she appears to know everything about every character.

The all-knowing Rue also, however, calls herself an “unreliable narrator” at one point, which would tie in with the theory as well.

Fans also note that other characters seem surprised to see Rue alive at the beginning of the school year, making statements such as, “Didn’t she die?” and “I thought you were dead.”

Did Rue actually die from her drug overdose that occurs before the first episode? See more fan reactions about the theory below!

Louis Tomlinson Did Not Approve of That 'Euphoria' Scene

If you watched the latest episode of HBO’s Euphoria, you’re probably still thinking about that fan fiction scene involving Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles, aka Larry Stylinson.

Barbie Ferreira‘s character Kat is depicted as the fan who launched the “Larry Stylinson” fan fiction and the show animates the fictional story about the pop stars. Zendaya narrates the very graphic scene.

Fans wanted to know if HBO received permission from the guys to be featured in the episode and Louis responded to a fan on Twitter.

“I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it,” Louis replied.
