Gabbie Hanna is opening up about how she got started on Vine.
In a new interview on Zach Sang Show, the influencer talked about her new album, her YouTube drama with RiceGum, and what, or rather who, actually got her to start using Vine.
“I hated Vine so much. I had the app for a couple of days and I deleted it ’cause I was like, ‘This is the dumbest sh–,’” she said. “I’m so obsessed with Bo Burnham, as a creator, and I saw he was posting on Vine, so I was like, ‘I like Vine too now.’”
“Then I got on, I also had just graduated college, I moved home. I didn’t really have a lot going on, I don’t have friends in my hometown ’cause we are just very different people,” she added. “I’ve always been an attention wh–e and I’ve always enjoyed being the ‘funny girl’, so I just kind of found comfort in meeting strangers on the internet, and getting validation through likes. I had very low self esteem at the time, so the idea of people liking my sh– was intoxicating.”
