Il Volo hit the stage for rehearsals ahead of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest on Wednesday afternoon (May 20) in Vienna, Austria.

The guys — Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble — are representing Italy in the international contest, which crowned and shot Conchita Wurst to fame last year.

“We missed Europe, so the Eurovision Song Contest is for us the perfect opportunity to be back, and to be the first Italian act to sing this style of song in the contest, the operatic pop, is a truly unique experience”, Gianluca shared at the press conference earlier in the week.

The guys – Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble – recently opened up about attending the event.

“Our kind of music is a mix of classical and pop music,” Piero said. “We really can’t wait to be on the Eurovision stage.”

Gianluca added, “What we did in the past years and what we want to do is to bring our love, our great love, for Italian music all around the world.”
