Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice have announced their split.
The Strictly Come Dancing couple, who met on the 2015 season of the BBC show, announced the news together on Twitter.
“It is with great sadness we have decided to split up,” Georgia wrote. “There is nobody else involved. Although it was not an easy decision to make, sometimes you realise that it is better to be friends and this is one of those times. We both have very busy work schedules for the rest of the year so we are both going to focus on our upcoming work projects and we wish each other well for the future.”
She added later, “Nothing i ever said about my feelings to Gio were fake before people start. I still love him very very much. But things change. Please be respectful to me at this time by not saying awful things. This is a hard time for me.”
Georgia is also pictured arriving at the BBC Radio Studios in London ahead of her debut as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s next month.

The 25-year-old actress was joined by her Strictly Come Dancing partner and boyfriend, Giovanni Pernice.
During a recent appearance on Lorraine, Georgia revealed she was learning Italian, because of Giovanni.

It was just announced that the 25-year-old actress will star as Holly Golightly in the touring production of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Sharing the role with Pixie Lott and Emily Atack, Georgia‘s run will kick off from September 19th – November 19th.
“I am so excited that for my first theatre role I will be playing such an iconic character. I cannot wait to join the cast of Breakfast at Tiffany’s as Holly Golightly,” Georgia shared in a statement. “It’s a wonderful adaptation of an incredible story and I’m really thrilled to be part of it!”
Director Nikolai Foster added: “Completing our perfect trio of leading ladies taking on the role of Holly Golightly, we are all thrilled Georgia is joining the team. It’s hugely inspiring for all of us to be working with actors who are perfectly suited to the role and will help encourage new generations of theatregoers to share Capote’s beautiful story.”

The former Strictly Come Dancing partners took their romance off the dance floor and stepped out for the 2016 TRIC Awards held at Grosvenor House on Tuesday (March 8) in London, England.
“We’re just like a normal couple. How did everyone else’s boyfriend and girlfriends get together? It’s just the same,” Georgia shared with OK mag about their twosome’s relationship.
She continued, “We never went out like ‘finally we’re together’. We’re just together now.”
Giovanni added, “We wanted to be together so we are together.”

Jay McGuiness heads back to the tour bus after performing during the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour at Sheffield Arena on Tuesday night (January 26) in England.
The 25-year-old reigning champion recently shared where he keeps his glitterball trophy — in his brother’s bathroom!
“We keep a smaller version of it, one each,” Jay shared during his appearance on Loose Women. “It’s [the actual trophy is] at my brother’s down stairs toilet.”

Georgia May Foote holds hands with her new boyfriend and dance partner Giovanni Pernice while heading to the arena on Saturday afternoon (January 23) in Birmingham, England.
The duo were spotted making a quick stop at a local store for some snacks before joining the cast ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour show that night.
“Thank you so much Birmingham we had an amazing first show!!!!” Georgia shared on Twitter after their first show on Friday.
It was recently confirmed that Georgia and Giovanni had taken their partnership off the dance floor, after she split from Sean Ward.
“We had such an amazing experience on Strictly, it’s nice to be able to go on tour together now and experience this together now,” she shared. “It’s the full journey it’s been amazing.”

He added, “I’m looking forward to dancing in front of a large audience which I’m used to, of course, from being a member of The Wanted. Funnily enough, dancing on TV with a studio audience of just 400 is far more intimidating.”
