Fashion Police correspondent Giuliana Rancic reportedly said more about Zendaya‘s hair then what originally aired on Fashion Police.
In the full clip, viewed by People, the 40-year-old Fashion Police correspondent started out her critique of Zendaya by saying her hair looked “really heavy � it overwhelms her, and it’s just too boho.” She then reportedly made a peace sign symbol, before saying, “Zendaya is more high-fashion. The hair to me on her is making her a little more boho. Like I feel like she smells like patchouli oil. Or weed.”
Zendaya had accepted Giuliana‘s apology after the big controversy.
Zendaya is getting a ton of support from celebs after being the victim of some mean comments from Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic and now one of her idols, India Arie, has written a lengthy blog post praising the young star.
When she slammed Giuliana‘s comments, Zendaya suggested that people listen to India’s song “I Am Not My Hair” before judging others.

“I wanted to jump in and defend Zendaya – but she’s doing that BEAUTIFULLY herself. VERY. WELL. DONE. It’s a powerful thing to be a TEENAGER in the public eye, and feel empowered to speak up in your own defense. STUNNING!” India started off her post.

Giuliana Rancic is sorry for the offensive comments she made about Zendaya‘s dreadlocks on E’s Fashion Police after the 2015 Academy Awards.
The 40-year-old TV personality apologized during a brief E! News segment, which you can watch below.
“I’d really like to address something that’s weighing really heavy on my heart. I want to apologize for a comment that I made on last night’s Fashion Police about Zendaya‘s hair,” she said. “As you know, Fashion Police is a show that pokes fun at celebrities in good spirit, but I do realize that something I said last night did cross the line.”
Giuliana continued, “I just want everyone to know that I didn’t intend to hurt anybody, but I learned it’s not my intent that matters. It’s the result. And the result is people are offended, including Zendaya. And that is not OK. Therefore, I want to say to Zendaya, and anyone else out there that I hurt, that I’m so sincerely sorry. This really has been a learning experience for me. I learned a lot today and this incident has taught me to be a lot more aware of cliches and stereotypes, and how much damage they can do. And that I am responsible, as we all are, to not perpetuate them further. Thank you for listening.”
Zendaya spoke out last night about why the “joke” offended her. Her friend Kelly Osbourne later threatened to quit Fashion Police if it didn’t get resolved.

Zendaya is getting the support of her friend Kelly Osbourne after she was the victim of a poorly thought out comment from Giuliana Rancic on this week’s episode of Fashion Police.
The 18-year-old entertainer’s dreadlocks at the Oscars were criticized by Giuliana, who said she “smells like patchouli oil� or maybe weed.”
After people on Twitter started sending Kelly mean tweets because of the controversy, she told her followers not to drag her into it all.

The 40-year-old TV personality was bashed for saying that the 18-year-old actress “smells like patchouli oil… or maybe weed” while criticizing her look at the 2015 Oscars.
“Dear @Zendaya, I’m sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!” Giuliana wrote on Twitter.
The apology came after Zendaya wrote a long response to the controversial comments.

“There is a fine line between what is funny and dispectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect. To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or “weed” is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don’t usually feel the need to respond to negative things but certain remarks cannot go unchecked,” Zendaya shared on Instagram.
