The Freeform show is back in production after having to halt earlier this year.

Back in May, executive producers and stars Cierra and Maia Mitchell shared a message that the show’s upcoming third season would not be premiering over the summer due to the pandemic.

Good Trouble was one of the shows that stopped shooting in order to ensure the safety of all of our cast and crew, and sadly that means that Good Trouble will not be ready to return in the summer as planned,” Cierra said.

“But I promise you, that when we come back, we are coming in hot,” Maia added. “We just have to hang in there until that time comes.”

The cast of Good Trouble speak out on people who claim “I don’t see color”.

Zuri Adele, Cierra Ramirez, Sherry Cola and Emma Hunton teamed up with ATTN: to discuss the dangers of claiming to not see someone’s race.

While the video is from February, Cierra shared it on her Instagram account on Friday (June 5) as it’s something that should be seen during the current Black Lives Matter movement.

“The Trouble With: Not Seeing Color,” Cierra wrote. “I’m just gonna leave this here.”

The PSA is in response to an episode of Good Trouble where Emma‘s character Davia is struggling to connect with her students and tells one kid that she doesn’t see color in her classroom.

Cierra Ramirez Teases What's Ahead For Mariana When 'Good Trouble' Returns

Cierra Ramirez Teases What's Ahead For Mariana When 'Good Trouble' Returns

Cierra Ramirez is dropping little hints about what’s ahead on Good Trouble when the show returns for season 2B in January.

While the holiday special that aired earlier this week was a flashback moment, the series will pick up right where they left off – with Callie moved out of the Coterie and still at odds with Mariana.

“At the end of the day, these girls really love and need each other, and I don’t think they understand that right now,” Cierra said of Mariana and Callie’s strained relationship to PopSugar. “It’ll be interesting to see how that progresses and [how they come to] that realization during the rest of the season.”

She also opened up about Mariana’s work life, which could also be in jeopardy.

“Things are gonna be shaken up for sure. We saw Mariana announce she was the one to release [the employee salary information exposing the pay gap between men and women], but now people are investigating, and it’s put fear in a lot of the employees,” Cierra says. “But Mariana will continue to make as much progress as she can with [the Byte Club] because it means a lot to all the women.”

Good Trouble is back on January 15th on Freeform.
