In the sequel to Teen Beach Movie, the movie picks up right where the original left off and surfer sweethearts McKenzie (Maia Mitchell) and Brady have returned from a summer adventure that transported them into Brady’s favorite 1960s beach party movie, Wet Side Story.
But they’re in for a big surprised when Lela (Grace Phipps), Tanner, Butchy and their other newfound surfer and biker buddies arrive in their world.

The 16-year-old former A.N.T. Farm and 21-year-old Teen Beach Movie starlets will star in Some Kind of Hate, Variety reports.
Some Kind of Hate follows a tightly wound kid who is a favorite target for the local high school bullies. Sent away to a remote desert reform school, the harassed teenager accidentally summons a vengeful spirit to exact revenge on his tormentors.
The Adam Egypt Mortimer-directed flick will also star Ronen Rubinstein, Lexi Atkins, Michael Polish, Noah Segan, Spencer Breslin, Maestro Harrell, Jasper Polish, Jeremy Hawkins and Brando Eaton.
The sequel is set to take place a couple of months after McKenzie (Maia) and Brady (Ross) return from their wacky adventure in Brady’s favorite 1960s beach party movie, Wet Side Story, only to get a surprise visit from Lela (Grace), Tanner (Garrett), Butchy (John) and their other new friends in the real world.
In this weekend’s episode “Directors & Divas,” Dez (Calum Worthy) gets an unexpected opportunity to direct a movie that Austin (Ross Lynch) is in.
But things prove problematic when he has to work with Austin’s co-star, Brandy Braxton (Phipps), a high-maintenance actress — definitely looks like she’s a handful from the stills below!
“Directors & Divas” airs Sunday, April 13th @ 9PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

JJJ spoke with Raini and Laura Marano about their other dream careers – check out what they said:
Laura: “In the upcoming Austin and Ally episode, Dez dreams about being a director. If I wasn’t in the entertainment industry, my dream job would involve teaching. Both my parents are teachers, and I really do love school (You say “geek,” I say “enthusiastic about scholastic matters”).”
Raini: “If I wasn’t an actress I would be a singing pediatrician! I’ve always wanted to be a singer and help kids get better. So, why not combine the two?”
