The 16-year-old singer and Stargirl actress shared a new post on Monday (December 21) showing off her shaved head.
Grace actually cut her hair earlier in the month, but people are just now noticing.

Before shaving her head, she was rocking her signature bob in a pink hue.
Grace hasn’t released anything new in 2020, other than her first movie Stargirl premiering on Disney+ back in March. She also released a Mac Miller cover on her YouTube channel.
It’s been just over a year since her Letters Vol 1 EP was released, and we’re just waiting on Letters Vol 2!
Grace VanderWaal is taking fans behind-the-scenes of the making of Stargirl!
The 16-year-old singer and actress posted a series of videos and a photo from the set of her Disney+ original movie on Instagram on Saturday (March 28).
“It was amazing! There was like a bunch of catering, there was food! There was places to stay. Everyone got their own trailers. There were places to chill. It was incredible,” Grace said on Good Morning America.
She jokingly added, “I’m ready to be an actress…maybe, maybe. Only for the food.”
Listen to all that Grace Vanderwaal had to say here…
The 16-year-old singer performs the track – along with an acoustic version – in her new Disney+ original film.
“So be true toâyourâschoolânow / Just like youâwould to yourâgirl or guy,” she sings. “Be true to your school now / And let your colors fly / Be true to your school.”
Grace‘s other songs in the movie include “We Got the Beat,” “Thirteen,” “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth,” and her original track “Today and Tomorrow.”
âI like how humanized Stargirl is in the movie,â Grace said. âI think she’s a little more fairytale feeling in the book, and the movie displays her mistakes and how she isn’t perfect. Even if you’re someone as cool and admirable as Stargirl, you’re still going to make stupid mistakes and you’re still going to have to learn from them.â
She continued, âThe movie also explains how everything in life has consequences, even the things that you may think are good.â
âA lot of high school movies, it’s like 20-year-olds playing [young],â Grace added. âBut I like that [Stargirl didnât do that] because I think a lot of kids look at these 20-year-olds who are supposed to be 16 and then wonder why they don’t look like that. And it’s because you’re not 20. I think it’s really good for children to see someone their age who looks [their age]. Same for the [male actors] too, itâs not just girls. Boys are looking at these grown men who are fully developed. Leo is a little scrawny, he’s a teenager.â
