We totally get it, we do…we mean, Barry and Iris just got re-engaged in the last episode of The Flash…but waiting until season four for their wedding is so far away!
“I think the relationship aspect of West-Allen is going to be on the back burner towards the end of the season,” star Candice Pattonshared about the duo’s relationship and nuptials.
“Only because they have bigger issues to deal with and more important issues to deal with.”
She adds, “You know, they’re engaged, they’re happy, but any kind of wedding details might have to wait until Season 4. If Iris makes it to Season 4.”
Don’t tell us that!
Candice also dished about Barry’s romantic re-proposal that had just about everyone saying yes.
“It’s the proposal she dreamed of and knowing that it’s truly coming from a place of love and not a place of just trying to save her life, she’s thrilled. She’s over the moon…she loves Barry and this is what she wants. She just wanted to make sure Barry felt the same way and had the right intentions.”

Running Home To You – The Flash(Barry Allen) To Iris
We kind of have to argue with Candice Pattonhere, JJJ would so watch a show entirely about Iris West and Barry Allen’s domestic life.
Especially after she and Grant Gustin described their perfect days together and they were so incredibly cute!
“She would definitely get up, go to Jitters, go to work,” Candiceshared her vision. “Have a normal work day — maybe report on something very normal like the water in Central City. [Then] come home and make dinner for her and Barry, feed the turtle.”
Grant’s perfect day for WestAllen was almost the same: “If nothing went wrong, I think ideally Barry would like to sleep in a little bit, get up, have some coffee with Iris, go for a morning run because he gets some endorphins out of that and he does like running. And I think he likes doing some minor saves the day like armed robbery or stopping grant theft auto, stuff like that is fun for him, so I think a perfect day entails being The Flash.”
“Well, I mean they probably would Netflix and chill,” she added when asked about their nightly activities. “I mean, come on, they’re adults. Why not?”
“We’re in love,” Grant says. “Come on, we know what’s up with Barry and Iris.”
If you missed last night’s episode of The Flash, we suggest you go back and watch it right now!
Turning both The Flash and Supergirl into musical episodes was brilliant and we hope it happens again somewhere down the line — but first, let’s talk about how Iris and Barry are engaged again!
Towards the end of the episode, the couple worked out their problems and ended up with Barry singing his proposal to “Runnin’ Home To You”.
“That song is beautifully written,” Candice Pattonshared. “When we got to rehearsal for the first time, I was just already in tears. I was like, ‘Dang it, I should have saved it for when we were rolling!’ But the great thing about that song is that every time you hear the lyrics, you get emotional.”
Grant Gustin added, “I think music in storytelling really elevates the story, when it’s done successfully and correctly. I think this is a near perfect song. I was privileged to sing it.”

The actress sings “Moon River” in the video below (via Vulture), knowing that she doesn’t belong there at all in the 1940s themed club, where Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) just pops in at.
Elsewhere in Supergirl‘s episode, Kara is put on high alert when a new villain (Teri Hatcher) comes to National City; and Winn’s (Jeremy Jordan) girlfriend, Lyra (Tamzin Merchant), gets Winn in trouble with the law.

We always dreamed of getting a big Glee reunion on the two shows, but it was really Buffy The Vampire Slayer that inspired it all.
“You think of ‘Hush’ or ‘The Body’ or ‘Once More, With Feeling,’ and what’s so great about those episodes is, they didn’t stop the ongoing narrative of the season to step outside to do something fun,” executive producer Andrew Kreisbergshared.
“Those episodes really spoke to what the characters were going through.”
He added about the dual episodes of their storylines, “We kind of set it up so that both Barry and Kara would be at romantic crossroads. When they go into the musical episode they’re both in the same place and they can go on this journey together to either get back the love that they think they’ve lost or not.”
TELL JJJ: Are you excited for the musical crossover episodes?
The Flash actress was joined by her fellow cast mates of the CW’s DC Comics-based Arrowverse series Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist at The Paley Center for Media’s 2017 PaleyFest presentation of The CW’s Heroes & Aliens held at Dolby Theatre on Saturday (March 18) in Hollywood.
At the event, it was revealed that there will be a surprise crossover in the second-to-last episode of Legends’ fifth season!
“I will call it a surprise crossover,” EP Marc Guggenheim told Deadline. “No one knows this because we’ve kept it under wraps, but there’s a surprise cameo, surprise crossover moment in the penultimate episode of Legends.”
“Very soon, the author of the greatest, I guess you could call it ‘fantasy novel series’ of all time will appear,” EP Phil Klemmer also hinted. “You can figure out who that is.”
