The 17-year-old actress actually shared her first ever on screen kiss with Griffin Gluck in the movie, out of three kissing scenes in the flick.
“Griffin was the first on screen kiss and he was really great about it. I’ve never talked about a kiss so much. You have to choreograph it kind of,” she told J-14. “You kind of have to just make it not awkward.”
“I was nervous, never kissed on screen before. Also, my mom was watching,” Ava added. “The first kissing scene that I filmed was the last scene with Griffin actually. And we do it, I was so nervous.”
“There’s so many people watching you. The director, the producers, and all the cameramen. My mom came out and she was like, ‘Yeah I had to take the headphones off because it was just too loud.’ I was mortified she was listening,” she continued. “It was really interesting. Also, the one in the escape room, that was really awkward because Rico [Paris] and I… It was just really awkward.”
Here’s the official summary for the new movie: Jodi (Michelle) has always been the tallest girl in school — and she’s always been uncomfortable with it.

Jodi’s new crush turns her world upside down and throws her into a surprising love triangle, but with the help of her two best friends (Griffin Gluck, Anjelika Washington) as well as her beauty queen sister Harper (Sabrina Carpenter), Jodi comes to realize that she’s far more than her insecurities about her appearance have led her to believe.
