“I love me! Gonna love myself, no I don’t need anybody else. Hey, gonna love myself, no I don’t need anybody else. I love me! Can’t help myself, no I don’t anybody else. Anytime, day or night,” Hailee sings on the track.
ARE YOU EXCITED for Hailee Steinfeld to launch her music career?
“‘Love Myself’ is my first-ever debut single. It is ultimately about taking care of and indulging yourself,” she dished to On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
Hailee added, “Though it’s nice to have someone provide for you — whether that be emotionally, or physically, or with material things — this song really represents the power in providing for yourself.”
Hailee Steinfeld happily poses with a fan for a picture while out in New York City on Friday afternoon (July 10).
Speaking with B96 Radio recently, the 18-year-old actress opened up about her role in Pitch Perfect 2 and whether or not she was really singing “Flashlight” live.
“So in the movie, when I auditioned for the Bellas, I sing a song called ‘Flashlight,’ which my character wrote. I pre-recorded my audition scene…,” Hailee explained. “But I could not match the sync for the life of me.”
She added, “I’m a bad lip-syncher. So I ended up singing it live and that’s what’s in the movie.”
Taylor had some other surprises up her sleeve during the 1989 World Tour concert – she brought out The Weeknd to sing “Can’t Feel My Face” and she welcomed the U.S. Women’s World Cup soccer team and Heidi Klum to the stage during “Style.”
