When the “Starving” singer stopped by the Harry show, she took a break from movie talk to reveal why she got freaked out while on tour with Meghan Trainor!
“I was on a tour bus,” Hailee told talk show host Harry Connick Jr. “It took a minute to get used to, but I actually kind of loved it.”
“I hit my head more times in that bunk than I ever have in my entire life,” she went on. “One thing that really freaked me out was I was on the top bunk and I was like, ‘OK, what are you supposed to hold on to if you feel like you are going down?’ You just fall.”
“There was one time I woke up in the middle of the night,” Hailee added. “We were definitely taking a turn, and I remember waking up and being like, ‘Hold on!’ But there’s nothing to hold on to!”

In an interview with Fashion magazine, the 19-year-old actress and singer revealed that meeting Shawn several years ago inspired her to keep singing.
“I remember meeting him three years ago when I was just dipping my toes into the whole music thing and he inspired me to stay on,” she explained. “He’s so kind, [and] even then, I knew he was going to be a big star.”
Hailee also added that having a supportive squad is so important, saying, “Banding together—whether it’s a group of women or a group of men or both—is awesome.”

Hailee recently opened up about working with Woody Harrelson on their new film The Edge of Seventeen.
“One of my favorite parts about working with Woody was constantly being terrified of what it was he would say that would sort of walk all over me,” Hailee told EW. “I learned very quickly that if you tell Woody Harrelson that he can do whatever he wants, he would do whatever he wants. So I decided to do whatever I wanted to. I would come out feeling so good, spit in his face with Nadine’s words and then my heart would start pounding. I knew he was going to say something that would either make me break and laugh or crawl into a corner and cry.”
Hailee Steinfeld can do no wrong in our book and this video of her singing “Firework” by Katy Perry using just the first line of the song is so perfect!
The 19-year-old entertainer, who is promoting her new film The Edge of Seventeen, made an appearance on James Corden‘s The Late Late Show on Thursday (November 10).
Hailee decided to sing Katy Perry‘s “Firework” and she had to continuously sing the first line, “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?” James sang Adele‘s song “Someone Like You” and then they joined forces for Madonna‘s “Like a Prayer.”
