On the conversations she had with fellow cast mates of True Grit: “The conversations I had with Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, and Jeff Bridges on set totally changed my life… they changed the way I approach acting. It was an incredible education. I kept a journal on set that carried through the first month. We took over 4,000 pictures – I was looking through them last night and I got chills.”
On the dress she wore to the 2011 Academy Awards: “My Oscar [outfit] started as a wedding dress with a 20-foot train. That was changed. Karla and I looked at it and had drawn a picture of what I had in mind for Marchesa. They worked on it so much and dyed it more than 10 times in different shades of pink until it was the colour I wanted. We ended up literally pinning on the [sheer panel] because my mom didn’t want me to wear strapless. So we built up a dress that was very Audrey Hepburn-esque as I was literally walking out the door. It was nerve-racking but fun.”
On the future of women in film: “There’s a new generation of women writing great roles and directing. It’s all coming up at once and I just want to be part of it.”

The 23-year-old singer shared her fun adventures with the 16-year-old actress on Twitter.

Hailee Steinfeld steps out at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 Haute-Couture during Paris Fashion Week held at Grand Palais on Tuesday morning (January 22) in Paris, France.
The 16-year-old actress wore a multicolor sweater and cardigan from the Paris Edimbourg Collection with a black leather skirt and a black hat. She completed her look with a yellow resin Boy bag and Christian Louboutin heels.

The 16-year-old Romeo & Juliet star modeled some spring looks for the newest issue of the glossy, which Kristen Stewart covers.
It was just confirmed that Hailee will officially be starring in McG‘s thriller with Kevin Costner, via Deadline.
The movie, filming in Paris, France, follows a Secret Service agent (Costner) who comes out of retirement for one last mission in exchange for access to an experimental drug that could save his life, all while trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Steinfeld). Hallucinatory, narcoleptic action ensues as he tries to complete the mission while battling the drug’s side effects.

Hailee Steinfeld switches up her party outfit to celebrate her birthday held at Rolling Stone Lounge and Restaurant in Hollywood on Saturday night (December 15).
The 16-year-old actress partied it up with BFFs Adam Irigoyen and Caroline Sunshine, as well as Victoria Justice, Kiernan Shipka, Amandla Stenberg and Jacqueline Emerson, among many others.
Guests of the party toasted with vitaminwater mocktails including the citrus refresher made with vitaminwater multi-v, cranberry juice, seltzer and lemon and were also treated to Sally Hansen InstaGel manicures.
Hailee, who turned 16 on December 11th, tweeted, “Thank you all so much for a fabulous 16th birthday. Your birthday wishes have had me smiling all day long?”

Hailee Steinfeld has landed the lead role opposite Kevin Costner in an untitled action film!
The 15-year-old actress will play Kevin‘s daughter in the flick which will be directed by McG, known for action movies like Charlie’s Angels and This Means War.
According to Deadline, the still untitled action film is about “a service agent who discovers he’s dying. Before he goes, he attempts to complete a final mission, and reconnect with his estranged daughter.”
