Chloe Bailey is opening up about her relationship with younger sister Halle Bailey!
The two are very close in age and have been nearly inseparable since The Little Mermaid star was born.
As they’ve grown up, Chloe has always felt protective of her little sis, and that continues to this day.
In a new interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Chloe dished about their protectiveness of each other and if they always approve of each other’s boyfriends.

Halle Bailey switches up her look with a bob while attending the 2023 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 1) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The 23-year-old actress and singer ditched her normal, long locs for a shorter and straighter hairdo for the annual event.
Halle is wearing a custom white lace sequin-embroidered gown with a ruffle coat from Gucci.
She was seen posing with Julia Garner and Daisy Edgar-Jones, who are also wearing Gucci for the event.
On the red carpet, Halle told Harvey Guillen that what she is looking forward to at the event is sitting down and eating food!
At the 2021 Met Gala, Halle met up with fellow Disney princess Rachel Zegler and they were sure to snap a cute photo. Check it out!
Now that it’s May, we are officially in the month that Halle‘s highly-anticipated live-action film The Little Mermaid will be released.

Halle Bailey really got into character while filming The Little Mermaid!
The 23-year-old star of the upcoming movie is opening up about how being isolated in London during the pandemic helped her connect to her character, Ariel.
“I found that a lot of my time in London was that I was feeling the exact way Ariel was feeling in the beginning of the story. It was my first time away from home, I grew up in a very big family. I am the baby of three girls and I have a baby brother. I lived in my parents’ home up until two years ago, and so I grew up always having people around, especially my siblings to guide me. My sister Chloe, who’s like a second mom to me, has always been there in my personal life and my career, holding my hand and guiding me through every step of life,” Halle shared with V Magazine. So this was the first project that I did by myself. When I found out I was cast, it was this shock of suddenly finding out that I’d have to move to London–and then the pandemic happened. So suddenly I found myself in London isolated by myself, the borders were closed, the world was shut down, and my family couldn’t even come visit me.”

The 23-year-old entertainer’s full rendition is sure to blow away, especially on the second half of the song.
The track was released exactly one month before the film hits theaters, and as tickets go on sale.
In addition to the full song, we also got new character posters for the main cast, featuring Halle, Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem and Melissa McCarthy, as well as the animal characters Sebastian (Daveed Diggs), Scuttle (Awkwafina) and Flounder (Jacob Tremblay), plus a new TV spot, featuring more new scenes from the movie, featuring all of these characters!

Halle Bailey has been working on her solo music!
If you didn’t know, the 23-year-old The Little Mermaid star and her sister make up the Grammy-nominated duo Chloe x Halle, but have been taking some time to work on their own solo music and acting projects over the last few years.
The girls are also signed to Beyoncé‘s Parkwood Entertainment record label, and have been since the superstar signed them in 2015.
In a recent interview, Halle opened up about the sound for her upcoming solo record and what Beyoncé thinks of it.

The Little Mermaid‘s director Rob Marshall is looking back on Halle Bailey‘s audition for the upcoming live action movie.
The director of the underwater film recalled how the 23-year-old entertainer caught his eye during her 2019 Grammys performance with sister Chloe.
“[Producer] John DeLuca and I were watching, and I said, ‘John, who is that? She looks like an angel,’” Rob told British Vogue. “I mean, Halle’s so beautiful, but she also has an otherworldly sensibility. This was so important for a character that’s a mermaid and a teenage girl, who has to have this combination of strength, passion and courage, as well as a kind of naivety and innocence.”
He then recalled her first audition, where she sang “Part of Your World.”
