Get ready to complete your collection on November 11th — Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is hitting DVD and Bluray shelves that day!
Star Daniel Radcliffe sat down with author J.K. Rowling in a Bluray extra (via MTV) to chat about the impact the characters have had on a new generation.
He shared, “I always think that that’s one of the wonderful things about ‘Potter’ and the ‘Potter’ fan base. If you think about the other big costume-wearing [franchises] that go with it, things like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Star Trek,’ with ‘Potter,’ because it started off as a literary thing, has created a generation of the same kind of mentality … with an appetite for reading and literature, which is kind of amazing.”
There will also be a huge celebration at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort for the DVD/Bluray release — it spans THREE DAYS LONG!
Expected to be in attendance include James and Oliver Phelps, Warwick Davis, Evanna Lynch, Mark Williams, David Bradley, Jessie Cave and many more to be named later.
The discs will also be available in the UK on December 2nd.

Who else is going to be the first in line when the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter opens?
Opening in Spring 2012, the behind-the-scenes walking tour will immerse guests into the world of film-making. The tour features authentic sets, costumes and props that showcase the British artistry, technology and talent that goes into producing world famous and successful movies.
Among a series of never-before-seen exhibits on the three hour long tour, visitors will also be able to walk onto some of the most memorable sets from all of the films in the Harry Potter series including the iconic Great Hall, Dumbledore’s office and many more.
“It was such a magical place to grow up,” says Daniel Radcliffe. “People will be amazed to see the incredible environment we’ve worked in all these years.”
Rupert Grint added, “The sets all have tiny little details that you may not always notice in the films but when you actually walk through them, you can see all the work that’s gone into it. It’s really amazing.”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II debuted in theaters less than a month ago — and we’re already itching to know about the DVD!
Star Tom Felton caught up with MTV at the Rise of the Planet of the Apes premiere to chat about what fans might see on the disc: “They shot a bunch of stuff. There are documentaries and us doing all sorts of [things on set]. You saw us playing golf last time. There was all sorts of crazy stuff. They were trying to compose this mega-edition.”
Tom also dished about his very-cool cast keepsake: a character-signed script! “I have a script that’s signed by the cast, and they actually signed it as characters. Helena Bonham Carter signed it as ‘Auntie Bella,’ which is quite sweet,” he shared.
Now that we’ve uncovered what Pottermore is all about — we just can’t wait until October to see it!
Good thing some of us will get early access! Posted on The Insider, here’s how you can get in early:
– Each day for seven days, from July 31 to August 6, we will be placing a clue on the Pottermore homepage to help you locate The Magical Quill. If you find it, you’ll have the chance to gain early access to Pottermore.
– There will be a new clue every day, and each clue will relate to a different book in the “Harry Potter” series. On Day 1 the clue will relate to “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, on Day 2 the clue will relate to “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” and so forth. The clues will also vary in difficulty. On Days 1-3 the clues will be harder, and on Days 4-7 the clues will be easier.
– To find The Magical Quill, you need to solve the clue and add the answer to the end of the web address http://quill.pottermore.com/ This will lead you to a website where The Magical Quill will be located while early access places are available. The Magical Quill’s location will change every day.

Tom Felton stopped by KIISFM on Thursday morning to chat with Ryan Seacrest about being a part of the biggest film franchise — Harry Potter — in history.
The 23-year-old actor shared about the fans faithfulness: “Every year we were kind of expecting no one to turn up or less people to turn up at the premieres and events, but they have come out in the thousands every year. Because they have been so passionate over the years. I think it all comes down to the stories, people are still just so passionate about the stories.”
Tom even dished about his own experience seeing the final film in theaters. Being in America, he had a different experience than being in England: “It was very cool, needless to say actually watching it with an American audience is a completely different experience to anywhere else. New York, we missed half of the film because they were just screaming and cheering.”
